Windows 10: Cant Diagnose Crashes
Cant Diagnose Crashes
I'm having trouble with my new computer.
It's custom built all new parts (i7-6700K, 4x8GB 2400mhz , GTX 980 Ti Hybrid , Asus Sabertooth z170) asides from the PSU (Corsair HX850W). Windows 10 is installed ( upgraded from Win 7 Ultimate ) on a 120GB Kingston SSD, and I am using a 2TB HDD for storing everything.
It has been acting up recently and giving me random crashes.
The crashes aren't BSOD however there was one (not sure if it's related to the real problem or not) which the dump file is attached.
The crash essentially freezes the whole pc , black screen , with the audio going haywire ( terrible crumpling like sound) , forcing a hard reset.
Steps I have taken :
Ran sfc /scannow multiple times , no violations in integrity.
After I post this I intend to run CHKDSK and Memtest 86.
After said above I will run Verifier to exclude drivers.
I'm really new to these things so asides from the research I have done on the internet I have no clue what I am doing
- I'm in your hands.
Hope we can get this fixed,
Edit : Just ran a full virus scan with Kaspersky , no threats.
Edit2: Memtest 86 came up with no errors.

I guess you were playing "The Division" whilst having this BSOD?
Did you overclock your CPU ? Reason for asking:
Do you have BSOD only whilst gaming or also with "normal" use?
CPUID: "Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700K CPU @ 4.00GHz"MaxSpeed: 4000
Indeed the CPU was overclocked then.
However since the BSOD I have return to stock defaults but the crashes still persist.
They usually happen whilst gaming but they're not BSOD as I said in my initial post, my pc freezes, black screen with a screeching like noise.
I have a custom build with the specs listed on my account. In brief, I get 1 of 2 BSOD errors several times a day but I can't seem to establish steps to reproduce. It's irregular and doesn't appear to correspond to any particular applications that...

Is there any tool available to diagnose Win 10 and PC behavior. System is erratic and sometime very slow. Last boot, I had access to Chrome, but the desktop , task bar and start button where unavailable for at least 5 minutes. And even...
I'm thinking it may be the end of the road for my Biostar A880G+ motherboard which is a shame as it has done me well until this point. The problems started appearing after I shifted to a new case so that I had room to upgrade the GPU.
Been having a hard time diagnosing the root of the issue I've been having with my custom-built PC. Two weeks ago, I started getting display driver crashes every time I was in a game. It would crash, then recover. This continued...
