I would like you to run the following Bruce:

Right click on Windows start key in left bottom corner -> Select Command Prompt(Admin) -> type this: sfc /scannow

Just noticed that the dumps are complaining about the Windows native WiFi driver.

Configure your settings to never go into sleep by itself, or don't scan your pc before it goes to sleep.

Let us know how it goes with either of them :)
It just crashed as it tried to sleep and this was 12 hours after the last MBAM scan had run and after the computer had been asleep for nine hours before I woke it up and used it for a little while. As it tried to sleep it crashed. I attached the .zip file which will include the latest dump file but I am sure it will be the same as the others.

I am not sure if it is MBAM itself, a MBAM scan or something else causing the crashes but I have never experienced anything like this and with the way I use my computer I need it to go to sleep. To have to contantly restart the computer and see the reliability of the computer plummet is disappointing. If someone has some other thoughts I will gladly listen.

edit: Since the restart after the crash the computer has successfully gone to sleep two times. It will sleep successfully until it doesn't and crashes. What is the trigger for this is the question.

Actually that's the same driver they have had for at least a week, probably more like months. The HP site updates the date to a more recent date often. If you look tomorrow it will probably have a different date. Under details it states that the driver was released in October 2015. I did install that driver prior to the Refresh and it made no difference. I suppose it won't hurt to install it but I am pretty sure it won't resolve this. I did a slight edit to my above post as I am trying to discern the pattern to the crashes.

Bruce have you edited any Power option settings under Control Panel?

rtwlane.sys is the RealTek NIC/Wired - Realtek PCI-E Wireless LAN NIC driver.

    - Open Control panel by right clicking on the Windows start button in the bottom left corner
    - select Power Options(if you have it set as to show large icons!)
    - click on change plan settings for the plan that is active
    - click on change advanced power settings
    - scroll down to PCI Express and check what it's set at.

I have made some changes to Power Options. Nothing radical, same as I have done on my other computers.

I have not made any changes to PCI Express so I assume it is at its default settings.

    "PCI Express>Link State Power Management
    On battery: Maximum power savings
    Plugged in: Moderate power savings"

Third option available is "off". Should I make changes to see if it makes a difference?

I don't think I have mentioned it but I am running the computer plugged in, battery is removed. And I am using Wi-Fi, no ethernet so the LAN NIC adapter is "unplugged". See more below.

Regarding the LAN NIC driver, according to the HP site I am running the current driver so I can't update it However, I wonder if "Power Management" setting for the adapter would make a difference? I don't think so since the adapter is unplugged as I am using this computer with Wi-Fi but perhaps it is worth a try.

Current power plan is called "HP Recommended (recommended)". It is the first plan listed, second is "Power saver" so I think it would equate to "Balanced" on other computers.

I took a look at my other computers, two laptops and a desktop and the laptops have the PCI Express set at "Maximum Power Savings" for both "On battery" and "Plugged in", so that is different. Ethernet (LAN NIC I assume) adapters all have no changes to Power Management, meaning "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power" is still ticked. The adapter is enabled but no ethernet is plugged in so I don't think that matters, and this is the same on my other laptops which all use Wi-Fi not ethernet.

Other than the slight difference in "PCI Express" the other laptops are configured the same in terms of Power Options and Wi-Fi and Ethernet adapter settings and neither have had this issue. They are both running the previous version of Malwarebytes. Still unclear if this is related to MBAM, a driver, or both? This computer was originally on the previous version of MBAM and it had the crash problem.

Try to make the power settings the same, the power settings have much impact on the performance and other things so it may improve stability.

I am sure the power settings are correct and innocuous. I am convinced the crashes are related to Malwarebytes. Computer performed perfect for 12 hours including sleeping properly numerous times. Then the MBAM scan ran and the next time the computer tried to sleep it crashed. Other than not using Malwarebytes I have no other solution for this.
