    Frequent BSOD

Hello guys. In the past few months my PC has been constantly having a BSOD, usually 2 times a week or so (more frequently in the last few days).

Most of the times it happens right after booting the OS, with WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR. One time I also got something related to clock or something like that, I really can't remember. Also, I don't know if it helps in the diagnosis or not, but sometimes I get ghost clicks on my mouse and keyboard.

I'd be forever grateful if you could help me since I spent quite a lot of my budget on this computer and I need it for working. Thanks a lot guys!

You have lots of outdated drivers from mostly
    • VMware
    • VirtualBox

Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.

    1. Uninstall Daemon Tools
    2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
      • Double click the executable to open it
      • Click on the button shown below

If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window

All the 0x124 results in an internal timer error in the CPU, this error has in the past mostly been caused by faulty CPU's, overheating or overclocking. My suggestion is to update your BIOS from ASUS, check the temps and make sure they don't reach temps that are general unsafe (80-85C or higher) and stress test the CPU.

    Diagnostic Test

     CPU TEST

Run Prime95 and/or IntelBurnTest to stress test your CPU. Prime95 - Stress Test Your CPU - Windows 10 Forums CPU - Stress Test Using IntelBurnTest - Windows 7 Help Forums

    Note   Note
If you're overclocking anything, please stop it and set everything back to default while troubleshooting

Your CPU temperatures will rise quickly while under this stress test. Keep a keen eye on them and abort the test if overheating occurs.
