    nvlddmkm.sys BSOD's

I restarted my computer this morning and it said it was installing windows updates before it did. Once it starts attempting to load windows I get either a system service exception error or a system thread exception error followed by nvlddmkm.sys. I can get in with safemode usually some times it still crashes, but if I have all nvidia drivers uninstalled it will start.

I have also tried installing 359 drivers and 362 after using DDU with no luck.

    Attachment 68002

Some of the dumps in there are older and are not relevant to this problem, should I delete those and rerun that program?

    What we see here:
    • Display driver is failing with various different bugcheck codes.
    • Different versions of the driver behaves the same.
    • It crashes when windows loads in the normal mode.

Do you have any other graphics card to test with? Can you get one from friends or family?
See how it goes with another card applied.

We should have stress tested the card, but that will not be possible in safe mode.

I gave up and reformatted my drives, and all is good. This computer only had data that could be re downloaded anyway. Thanks for the response though.

If you're interested in knowing what probably caused it, recently I cleaned the dust out of my tower and heatsinks and my dumb ass plugged my monitors DVI chord into the motherboard port instead of the video card, and when it was loading up it was installing windows updates, but to me the screen was black so I turned the computer off and that ****ed a bunch of shit up. This was the first of the problems that made my PC unusable though.
