    In order to minimize the possibilities, you have to proceed systematically. First, the RAM. Then the CPU, and finally the motherboard.

    Yes, the RAM test with memtest86+ takes a long time.

    If you are sure that your issue is not being caused by the RAM, then first dismantle and re-seat the computer. Take the proper care of the pins, ports, thermal paste and all other small things including zip ties.

    If still it problems, test the CPU with Prime95. You will need another computer to perform the test.

    If that also goes free from errors, blame the motherboard itself.
    I reseated the motherboard and it made no difference. I tried putting an old mobo in to the case with it's own I/O plate and it lined up. My current motherboard seems like it's slightly warped or something which is strange. Only thing I did to it since I got it a year ago was add the Hyper 212 EVO heatsink. CPU is the same age.

    I also just tried installing Linux on a separate hard drive and it froze while the disc booted. Did the same thing on 2 different linux OS install attempts. So it has to be the hardware.

    So I'm currently running memtest86 to make sure it's not the RAM but i doubt it is. I'm thinking CPU or mobo at this point. I don't think it's the PSU or case as I just replaced those back in November but that was a few days after I installed Windows 10. Windows 10 installer would freeze almost everytime I tried to install Windows. Turning AMD turbo off made it work. But ever since then I've had issues so I'm not sure if its coincidence or something happened or what.

    If you have access to any other computer with the matching CPU pins, try your CPU there, and try to test it with Prime95.

    If all with the CPU goes well, then you will have to blame the board. If it is within warranty, RMA it.

    So I borrowed an older GPU from a friend and wanted to see if the graphics card was causing the problem. I swapped mine out with his and now it magically works. I'm not 100 percent certain yet but it looks like my old gtx 580 is done for. Bought it refurbished 2 years ago and I guess it couldn't handle anymore. That's strange though as I wasn't really getting any artifacts and it played games fine. I guess it makes sense as it's the oldest part in my computer. I was looking to upgrade soon so this isn't the end of the world. Just a bigger hole in my wallet :P

    I'll post an update if anything happens.

    You may try to be sure. Stress test that Graphics Card using Furmark.Take a screenshot of the furmark window before closing it. Upload the screenshot for us. Also let us know if you have experienced any crash/BSOD and/or artifacts during the test.

    Well I've had zero blue screens since replacing it. Facebook no longer stutters either. No longer have any weird issues with multi monitor windows being open. Now I've replaced the card I borrowed with a 380x and things are still working. If nothing happens the next week or so I'll mark it as solved.

    It's been over 3 weeks since I replaced the GPU but I've had about 4 or 5 random BSOD loops so I'm at a loss. Happened a few times in Maya when messing with a character rig. Other times seemed to be random with multiple tabs open in chrome on both monitors. It was much less frequent than before but something extremely funky is going on and it's baffling me. Code:
    BugCheck 3B, {c0000005, fffff8013f145b82, ffffd000db4ccde0, 0}

    Probably caused by : win32kbase.sys ( win32kbase!SURFACE::Map+17a )

    Followup:     MachineOwner

    Free up the startup. Windows does not need any other program to auto-start with it; but they can conflict which may cause various issues including randm crashes including BSODs.

    1. Right click on the taskbar and click on "Task Manager" in the context menu.
    2. It will open Task Manager with "Processes" tab selected. Click on the "Startup" tab.
    3. Select them all one by one and click "Disable" at the bottom right corner.
    4. Disable everything there other than the antivirus.

    See how it goes. Let us know.

    I think I've finally figured out the problem. It was one of my hard drives. It had been making slightly funky noises for months but it wasn't that old so I didn't pay too much attention to it and I didn't think it would cause those blue screens. It also passed every hard drive test. Said the health was good too which is strange. Since I removed it weeks ago I haven't received any blue screens. It's inconvenient to have yet another hard drive die on me but it looks like I can finally have some closure.

    Well, frankly speaking, I have never seen that a failing HDD is causing a stop 0x3B BSOD. But if the replacement proves good, that is well accepted. Practical experience is always better than theory; and thus the knowledge advances.

    If you experience any further issue, let us know.
