    Bugcheck BSOD while gaming

    Hi...
    again

So while I was gaming in Star Citizen and having GPU-Z running in background, the game froze and I got BSOD with the message:
    CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT

So I opened the .dmp file and this is what I got:

    appreciate any help...

EDIT: I have one theory. I saw in event viewer the WHEA warning as well... my current theory is that I run a 3.5GHz Ivy Bridge which is overclocked to 4.5GHz. BUT, yesterday I went to my BIOS settings and decided to ENABLE C3, C6 and C state package. I believe they are not desirable with OC CPUs. So I just disabled them but I still have C1E state set to enabled.
Also, I do not OC my GPU.
All my components are water cooled, both GPU's and CPU.
The Ivy bridge Core i7 3770K, is delidded and I used Cool Laboratory LiquidUltra thermal paste, so temps are not an issue with my current beast of cooling system (3 huge radiators and plenty of fans).

Additionally, this happened while playing Star Citizen, which currently only utilize CPU more over GPU for graphics and since my C states were enabled, probably this caused a conflict.

    I'll have to retry this...

Programs that claim to update your drivers install either the wrong or corrupted drivers.
If you have installed any driver with Driver Booster 3, please remove them as it may cause trouble.

Remove the OC'ing as first step and second step is: update your Intel Rapid Storage Technology drivers or remove the related software.

    1. How/where did you get that from???
    2. Is this driver required for SSD drives? or required at all?
    3. searching the intel website, I'm not sure which is the correct one for me.

EDIT: Correction my CPU is @ 4.7Ghz. I disabled the C states except C1E.
I ran Prime95 with blend mode and RAM usage of 13.5GB and 15min FFT for 7 hours with no issues.
I then ran Aida64 benchmark stress test for 1 hour and no issues.

    1. Which part do you mean? Driver Booster 3 or the Intel part?
    2. The software isn't, but the drivers are which I notice appear to be likely in the chipset drivers which are currently in the BETA for Windows 10.

    I found one here:
    Station-Drivers - P8Z77-V DELUXE

    Version 12.8.20.1002 (Win-7/8/8.1)
    but not win 10

    Would you recommend that?

Recommended is to install the drivers ASUS provides, no other unless it is directly from the company providing the driver.

it's strange because I'm getting a message "A new version is already installed. Are you sure you want to downgrade?"

That's from the Chipset_Win10_V10117 driver I downloaded form Asus.

That explains it, download the drivers from ASUSTeK Computer Inc. -Support- Driver & Tools - P8Z77-V DELUXE
for your motherboard. Download no beta, if any driver is beta then download an older version.
