    BSOD cause (mostly) unknown

My computer has been having regular BSODs that I have tracked to ntoskrnl.exe.

    I have run the
    Code:
    sfc /scannow
command multiple times and it always comes back clean. I dont remember if I have tried
    Code:
    DISM /online /cleanup-image /restorehealth
or not, but I suspect that I have since I can retrieve the command from memory.

The crashes seem to happen randomly as I am rarely doing the exact same thing on my computer when it happens. Sometimes I will have just left it after using it. Other times it will happen while browsing the internet. It also happened a few times while I was trying to extract a DVD ISO for my wife to watch on her chromebook. The only common factor is ntoskrnl.exe whatever that is.

Any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

Please uninstall Avira while troubleshooting and use Windows Defender as alternative
How do I uninstall my Avira Antivirus product?

Please uninstall everything of AMD using Display Driver Uninstaller and install new drivers from AMD. Be sure to install as less as possible software using custom/advanced options.

With the exception of enabling Widows Defender (which I have disabled in a way that is annoying to reverse) I have done as you have suggested. I will post again if I have further problems (with a new log file).

In the mean time, thank you for your time and I wish you well.

Accept the annoyance and reverse the disabling for your security.

It has been up for 3 days now after following the originally prescribed instructions. Do you recommend I stick with Windows Defender or is there another free anti-malware suite out there that doesn't break things?

There are no 3rd party AV's that do not cause bluescreens, the only AV that doesn't cause bluescreens (unless you're in the technical preview version) is Windows Defender.

I just recently (today when I started my laptop) had a BSOD which was caused by my protection software due to a problem with the network communication, nothing to worry about because it is for now a single crash though.
Even BSOD Analysts aren't secure of BSOD crashes
