System lockups, BSOD, games crash. errors vary.

Ok . I am getting random system lockups, can happen anytime. Sometimes using when using chrome or just on desktop. Happens most often when windows is on login screen, or sometime right before windows loads. Playing any game I have will cause crash to desktop. Crash time varies from game loading screen to playing game for a few minutes.

So far I have reinstalled windows 3 times. I have replaced motherboard because it crashed during bios update, thus ruining mobo, tried different power supply also. After installing windows I have installed latest drivers that I could find, didnt seem to make any difference from the drivers that were loaded when windows was first installed. I did notice that after I installed pc matic I got constant BSOD, So I uninstalled it. fewer BSOD But still have lockups and game crashes.

I have ran memtest for 24 hours with no errors, also ran tests on ssd and hdd drives with no errors.
I should have the files attached to this post.

Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.

    1. Uninstall Daemon Tools
    2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
      • Double click the executable to open it
      • Click on the button shown below

If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window

Please uninstall ASUS software, it is known for causing bluescreens.

    Diagnostics Test

     Clean boot

    Please try the following:
    • Open taskmanager
      • Go to the tab startup
      • disable everything

    • Search msconfig and open it
      • Go to the tab services
      • Check 'hide microsoft services'
      • Uncheck all other services
      • Click apply and click ok

    • Reboot if asked

See if the problem persist, if the problem does not persist enable in the startup tab in taskmanager 1 item and in the services tab in msconfig also 1 service, reboot and see if the problem persist. Keep doing this until you find the culprit or there is nothing left.
If the problem still persist, try booting in safe mode and see if the problem still persist

    Thanks for the help.
Ok did as you said, uninstalled asus, daemon tools. downloaded sptd installer, there was no installation on system. disabled everything on startup and disabled non ms services. Still have same issues. Booted into safe mode. same issues. Do you think its a device driver issue or could it be hardware?

I suggested a clean boot, and safe mode if a clean boot didn't help, to find out if it is a hardware or driver/software/service issue.
As you say that the problem persists in safe mode it is a hardware (related) problem.
We can pretty much rule out your graphics card, because it is not used in safe mode.

Please check in your BIOS for the 3.3v, 5v and 12v values and let me know what they are.
    Please try following (bootable) tests
If a test interrupts for some reason it is usually a symptom that the tested component is causing problems.

    Diagnostics Test

     HDD TEST

Run SeaTools to check the integrity of your HDD. SeaTools for DOS and Windows - How to Use - Windows 7 Help Forums
    Run following tests
    1. Short Drive Self Test
    2. Short generic
    3. Long generic

If the short generic fails, no need for the long generic.
    Note   Note
Do not run SeaTools on an SSD as the results will be invalid.

    Run chkdsk
Disk Check - Windows 7 Help Forums

    Run HDTune to
    • scan for errors, no quick scan but full scan
    • check the health,
    • benchmark.

It may take some time, but please take the time you need to perform it properly.
Let me know what the results are
    • of the error scan,
    • make a screenshot of the health of every hard drive and post the screenshots,
    • post screenshots with the benchmark of the
      • transfer rate,
      • access time,
      • burst rate,
      • cpu usage.

    Diagnostic Test

     RAM TEST

Run MemTest86+ to analyse your RAM. MemTest86+ - Test RAM - Windows 10 Forums

    Note   Note

MemTest86+ needs to be run for at least 8 passes for conclusive results. Set it running before you go to bed and leave it overnight. We're looking for zero errors here. Even a single error will indicate RAM failure.

Please note that even though the components have been tested, they haven't been ruled out for 100% because the programs aren't always 100% and I have seen it happen that a tested component was still faulty.

ok ran prime95 and got lots of errors.
1st run lasted a few minutes before i got bsod (driver overran stack error)
rebooted, then right after boot to desktop didnt get to run test got bsod (page fault in nonpaged area) wof.sys
rebooted again, came up fine to desktop, reran prime95, after few minutes bsod (kmode exeption not handled)
then would not load windows after that reboot, I'm guessing because cpu was too hot. waited until it cooled off and then had to reboot several times. Finially got back to load windows.

    Try a few things
    1. Clean your system of dust, or at least check it.
    2. Make sure the airflow is proper
    3. Replace the thermal paste
