There is something I would like to try after a question, a clean install of Windows 10 and the only driver installed is the touchpad driver.
Of course a proper backup of the system will be needed before clean installing Windows 10, so you can easily restore back your system after troubleshooting :)
My question, do you have any USB device attached?
The only usb device attached is my g502 mouse.
Reformatting the laptop now would be...messy.
So the only driver i see under the "mice and other pointing devices" in "device manager" is the "HID-compliant mouse"...so i'm not too sure what i should do.
edit: is there any way to disable the touchpad without a driver?

The HID mouse is the USB mouse, please check the manufacturer of the mouse for driver updates.
From what i can tell, it dosent seem like the mouse uses its own drivers but rather Microsoft's generic mouse driver. The only other downloadable i can see from logitech site is the program for key mappings on the mouse, other than that, there isnt any mention of drivers.
If you mean mouclass.sys and mouhid.sys as Windows drivers, every mouse uses those drivers.
Do you have a disk or something that came with the mouse for updating?
