DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION BSOD (may be caused by external sound card)

I got a big issue with this BSOD. It happens from time to time when there's any sound running (youtube video, game, teamspeak...). I get a approx. 1-minute freeze, then OS crashes with a BSOD. It happens sometimes when plugging my Asus Xonar U3 external sound card I'm using at daily basis as well. I have updated drivers for all my hardware, including said Xonar U3, but no effect with that. Sometimes sound cuts off for a few seconds and then comes back in at random as well. This issue did not occur neither on W7 or W8.1, started happening in W10. Neccessary .zip file is attached to this post. Thank you for your help in advance.

Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.

    1. Uninstall Daemon Tools
    2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
      • Double click the executable to open it
      • Click on the button shown below

If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window

    warning   Warning
Programs that claim to update your drivers install either the wrong or corrupted drivers.
If you have installed any driver with Driver Booster 2, please remove them as it may cause trouble.

Recommended to remove Registry Recycler, such programs are poorly coded and thus cause more harm then good!

If any crack/bypass is on your system, you are required to remove them.
Counterfeit installation contain heavily modified code what causes the system to behave in unexpected ways.
For this reason it is unreliable to analyse dumps and most analysts won't try it.
This does NOT mean it is causing the problems.

I only updated drivers with driver booster, no idea how to check, which ones I updated this way (there were a lot of them, but I kept on updating GPU, chipset, bios, soundcard and peripherals manually).

Those 3 entries in hosts file - not really piracy measure (one is when my college internet broke and there had to be a redirection made for it to work, another two are for a game that is no longer supported, I legally own it on steam, the only way to play multiplayer was to redirect it onto other, working servers). Removed those anyway. Removed Daemon Tools Lite (SPTD uninstall option was greyed out), Driver Booster, Registry recycler. Gonna confirm if BSODs keep on showing up after system restart.

For the installed drivers, check in device manager for drivers that you can revert back. It may take a while but it would be worth it.

I have reverted almost all drivers, left only one for GPU as I make it up-to-date manually and I'm 100% sure everything's fine with it, every 3 driver updates for my GPU I completely uninstall GPU drivers and make a fresh installation, so that can't be wrong. At very last resort, I'm going to do that as well (it takes 2-3 restarts for me in order to successfully install GPU drivers, so I hope to avoid that or just do it when I'm not as busy). Gonna report back tomorrow or whenever I crash.

I want to thank you in advance for your time and help, some of that software stuff is confusing me, especially that Asus completely ignores my laptop model and say that it's not compatible with windows 10 while Asus definitely has drivers for that specific laptop, and they even promoted the W10 update on this specific laptop's driver page. And I really don't want to roll-back to previous OS as W10 works out well for me except this annoying BSOD I hope we can work out for it not to happen anymore, we'll see. Thank you again.

BSOD keeps on happening, happened today after waking up from standby mode. seems like blue screen log did not get generated this time though. Sending updated logs via attachments. Happened when my HDD was performing really sluggishly and mostly, putting laptop to sleep and waking it up works, but doesn't result in BSOD as now.

    Diagnostics Test

     HDD TEST

Run SeaTools to check the integrity of your HDD. http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials...s-how-use.html

Do not run SeaTools on an SSD as the results will be invalid.

    Run chkdsk http://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials...isk-check.html

Run HDTune to scan for errors, health and benchmark.
Let me know what the results are, prefered screenshots.

Please fill in your system specs

System specs updated as much as possible. The problematic HDD is HGST HTS721010A9E630 . My laptop has been having issues with it since I bought it (around 2 years ago). The problem I managed to fix is my HDD disappearing from Operating System until restart, at first I thought it's the HDD that's the problem, but I sent it to repair, they sent it back "refubrished", telling me there was nothing they found wrong with. Issue rolled through Win 7 and Win 8.1, was solved by disabling energy saving function from Intel RST software, I had to redo it after reinstall to W8.1, then after update to W10, it didn't appear. SeaTools for Windows made my HDD disapear from Windows again, but i still could test it, did a short test, and it said "short tests - pass". Still had to restart my laptop to make my second HDD appear in windows again. I'm going to drop some screenshots now about the slowdown I'm having with my HDD:

HD tune screenshots - when disk is functioning normally (from top to bottom - benchmark, health 1st page and 2nd. info):
    http://scr.hu/0hvh/9brav
    http://scr.hu/0hvh/rj2ah
    http://scr.hu/0hvh/9jtuo
    http://scr.hu/0hvh/6slhb

now, when my HDD slows down after being idle or sometimes on random (only sleep and wake up or system restart helps to bring it back to normal - benchmark and info tabs):

    http://scr.hu/0hvh/eetfw
    http://scr.hu/0hvh/uehxf

Health tab is identical to when my HDD functions as usual. No errors on quick error scan either. Notice both difference in benchmarks and info, focusing on info tab - "active" changes its value from UDMA mode 7 (when HDD works as usual) to UDMA mode 5 (when it malfunctions). No error was found by chkdisk on any partition of that hard drive as well. I think slowdown issue started happening, when I upgraded to Windows 10, I'm not sure though, it could be there in W8.1 as well.

Please run the long generic test, smart test and short drive self test in seatools.
Please run the error scan in HDTune.
