Dell Studio XPS 7100 Bad Pool Error BSOD daily occurrence Windows 10

My problem is very similar to one described by tomzino earlier this month in this forum. Since upgrading from windows 7 home premium to windows 10, my computer gets a BSOD and reboots daily; so far in November it has crashed 20 times. The only days it didn't, the system was powered down. The error message is the 'bad pool header' . Oddly, 85% of the BSODs have occurred between 12:12pm and 12:43pm EST. I ran the DM Log collector to gather the information from the last two crashes for diagnosis.

    Hi CastAway,

I suggest to perform a clean install of Windows 10.
With the upgrade, there is a great chance of bugs coming with the upgrade that causes stability problems.

    Thanks for the suggestion.....................................but

I was hoping someone could look at the two crash reports and let me know more specifically what module/process is causing the daily BSOD between noon and 1PM. I've been running Win 10 for over 3 months, and this is the only issue I have. I suspect it may be related to some automated process that is scheduled to run during this time period. It is not some random BSOD event.

If anyone can analyze the crash reports and give me any guidance, I would prefer that to reinstalling the operating system at this time.

Thanks in advance for any help that can be offered. And Happy Thanksgiving!

The crashes are caused by the AMD storage control driver

Thanks for the analysis and report. I have updated all the AMD drivers and am still having the daily BSOD. Will keep trying to resolve. I appreciate all in this forum who are providing much needed help to computer novices as myself.

Run the DM log collector again, upload the file and give some description of what you were doing and what happened.

    Daily BSOD

Thanks for the chance to get back in the problem-solving queue.

Attached are the last four BSOD crashes; they occur daily, typically between noon and 1PM. And usually the system is idle. I only discover it crashed after sitting down at the PC and having to log in again. I can think of one time in the last three months that it crashed when I was actually doing something.

I noticed I'm wrong about the update location for the amdxata.
You would need to be at the site of Dell to update the drivers.

Dell is not testing or developing Windows 10 drivers for Dell Studio XPS 7100. If you choose to upgrade, some features, applications, and connected devices may not work as expected.
