Driver_Power_State_Failure BSOD
So ive spend multiple hours a night the last week or so trying to resolve this problem. The BSOD is a repeatable one for me, as far as i know ive not had and random ones, only crashes due to the repeatable offense. When i play a game, if i alt tab out of it to do other things i get a DRIVER_POWER_STATE_FAILURE BSOD if im tabbed for more than a few moments. Occasionally the crash happens while i am tabbed, but more often it occurs when i try to return to the game. The computer locks up, sounds goes on a mini loop where its stuck as well, and after about... 1-3 minutes it cuts away to the BSOD itself. Ive tried updating all my devices' drivers in the device manage one at a time, handpicking "more stable ones" (with Nvidia), reinstating the factory drivers from the disc, viewing the dump files with whocrashed (just says the analysis since its the free version), looked up multiple iterations of the crash through google for answers and nothing has fixed the problem. Ive had the computer less than 30 days, new from sager. Id like to have this machine work properly. Assuming it is in fact a driver, ive been struggling to figure out what it is for or where it is.
Ps: Of interesting note, I have managed to work around the issue in general by A)not alt tabbing(a bit irritating) and B)Playing the games in Full Windowed, in which case alt tabbing doesnt cause a crash.
That said, Id like the computer to run optimally, rather than force myself to step around eggshells, waiting for things to get worse.Attachment 49242
