Getting late here but. This is unbelievable. I take it it's a new clean install Keith.

Do a quick clean install. If that doesn't cure it I'd be looking at RMAing the CPU + PSU. Memory, I'd buy one stick of the cheapest Crucial stuff if need be. Can't really see 4 sticks being bad. What a pisser.

    weird stuff happening.

I have the nic on the new machine plugged into my router. after a few mins with it plugged in my existing machine shows an error with the internet and I cannot get online. As soon as I unplug the new one the error goes away and I can access the internet again

    also:
I tried to reformat and reinstall on the 500gb ssd
I deleted all the partitions on that drive, formatted, and tried to reinstall.
I got an error that 'we cant install windows in the location you chose. please check media drive. heres more info: 0x80300024

    unplugged all other drives
    rebooted
installed windows on the crucial 500gb drive
    install went fine
    first boot
    added u/n, pass, express settings

clicked ok to finish - proceed to win 10

    BSoD Clock_Watchdog_timeout - frozen at 20% complete
