    Kernel-Power problem after hibernation - Windows 10

    Hello to all,
i'm new of windows 10 but on windows 8.1 i have always used on my PC (not laptop) the hibernate function.

Now if i close my desktop PC with hibernating it when i switch it on, the pc switch off completely it self when window starts to boot! Then i have to press the power button again to switch it on but windows starts as after a complete shutdown.

How can i fix it? What's the problem?

    My dump is attached.

    Thanks

    Hi mattiadj,

    Welcome to the 10forums.

Please remove / disable items from the startup in taskmanager
These programs could interfere with the boot process giving you trouble.

Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's.
Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.

    1. Uninstall Daemon Tools
    2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and follow these steps:
      • Double click the executable to open it
      • Click on the button shown below

If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window

Please use the tool again and upload the zip file.

To note, all the recent dumps were blaming the sptd driver.

Please locate the sptd2.sys file, it should be located in c:\windows\system32\drivers\.When you find it, right click the file > properties, go to the tab details, make a screenshot of the details and post it.
    Code:
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for sptd2.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for sptd2.sys

I expected it, but needed to be sure because there are many variants of the SCSI Pass Through Direct driver.
Please move this file to another partition/folder and see if the problem still occurs.
If it doesn't, you can safely delete it.

It is installed with a few programs, like the programs Daemon, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro (as mentioned earlier), but you should be able to choose to not install it.
