PC reboots every morning around 3AM

    Good morning,

I built this PC a couple of months ago and I am waking up every morning to the login screen. I don't know why it is rebooting, but it consistently reboots every morning around 3 AM. I do not see any errors on screen. I am never awake to witness the reboot. I am running Windows 11 Home, Version 23H2. System specs are in my profile. Any help would be appreciated. Please let me know if you need any additional information.

    An early bird

I am almost sure that you find the solution in the Power Option of your BIOS

Hi, once again, whilst welcome to tenforums, this is for - yes- Win 10.

You would be more appropriately supported if you were to register with

    elevenforum.com

    - where many of the same people are members.

If you need more, please then state what state the PC is in overnight- sleep, hibernation, shut down.

There are similar threads - feel free to search those for ideas.

Besides the BIOS/UEFI, there are possible scheduled activities. Nirsoft's TaskschedulerView provides a useful linear list.
If your PC is woken from sleep, you might find more using the powercfg command about what woke it.

Note: this doesn't appear to be a BSOD.

    Thanks.

Thank you and my apologies. I did not realize there was a separate forum for Win 11 and I also did not realize the forum was strictly for BSOD; I thought it was for crashes more generally. I came to this forum at the recommendation of another online help thread. I apologize for the inappropriate post. I appreciate the recommendations offered despite my misguided action. I will seek additional help at the Win11 forum.

To answer the question previously asked, my computer is left running 24/7 (not hibernating or sleeping). It runs a few different media servers so I like to have it accessible from whenever/wherever. Hence, my frustration at being on the road and discovering my computer rebooted once again overnight and I have to remote in to login before I can stream my audiobook or music.

Thank you, I'll dive in to the BIOS. The few crash logs I've looked at indicated they are unexpected. Would that still be the case for a BIOS power option?

I believe Microsoft/Windows runs maintenance @ 3:00am every day so I suspect that is why it’s waking up.
Change Automatic Maintenance Settings in Windows 10 Change here, same for win 11.
