We detected a new ftpm on RAM upgrade. BSOD followed.

I installed new ram from 2x8gb to 2x16gb. Unfortunately I couldn't find any ram available to purchase that was on the motherboards memory qvl list I guess because of it's age so I found ram that matched the closest. Installed new ram and at first mobo would beep and provided a led for vga error. I power cycled and then it booted but I was prompted with the message about a new ftpm was detected and I had a yes or no answer. After researching I found I should select no. By doing so I received a BSOD. So I rebooted and tried no again. Same result. So I tried yes and I still get a BSOD.

I took out the new ram and put the old ram back in. I still get a BSOD. Fyi I don't use bitlocker and I've never enabled it. I only upgraded the ram. I didn't touch the cpu.

    New ram link here. Amazon.com

How can I recover from this? Thank you.

I was able to disable tpm in the motherboard bios and this fixed it.
