Computer will randomly appear to lose power, and reboot normally.

    Please run for 24 hours.

    Then turn off the tool.

Choose and install one software or driver for reinstallation.

If there are no problems after 24 hours reinstall another software or driver.

Continue reinstalling software or drivers as needed.

The time period between installations may allow identification in case there is any compatibility problem.

Awesome thank you so very much!

I do not necessarily think I need to reinstall the software I had to uninstall. I will leave the verifier on for 24 hours, then just monitor the computer and try identify if any crashes occur again. Like I previously mentioned it has sometimes gone days without incident. However, it has been behaving fairly well since you started helping me out, so fingers crossed the problem is solved.

    Thanks again!

Unfortunately the issue is not fixed. After continuing to run the verifier overnight I woke up to the PC with none of my windows open, and things like Chrome asking if I wanted to restore my tabs after closing unexpectedly. I hope something useful can be found using V2, but it looks like there's no new dmp

One interesting thing I've noticed though. Before I went to bed I randomly tried pressing the RGB button on my case to control my fan lighting, for many months now this button had not been working, but when I tried last night they worked perfectly. Now when I try this morning the button no longer works. I'll try a restart with verifier and see if I get a BSOD again, and if the RGB button works.

Upon restart, no BSOD, RGB case button still does not work.

I'll be at work until about 5:30 my time, so may not reply for a while.

The last recorded BSOD was a WDV crash on 01/23

    Turn off WDV.

Yep, it's switched off. When I sent the last message I checked task manager to see the computer up-time and it was only around 4 hours since booting, so the crash would have happened around 3-4AM before I checked it, like those snippets say.

Alright, its something I've used before but it's still giving the same critical event of "windows was not properly shut down". The reliability rating is sitting around 1-2.

What do you make of the RGB fan stuff? It's driven by an RGB controller from the motherboard and I'm fairly sure the PC didn't come with software to control them (at least software which was accessible after logging in). Rarely after the power-cut crash the fans will be set to a random colour, and pressing the RGB button to change it doesn't work, and I have to wait until a shut-down or another crash before they turn back off.

I should clarify, the RGB controller is a separate chip, which all of the fans run through. I am mistaken in that it plugs into the motherboard, as I had a discussion with the providers of my PC about it. It might have information I'm not seeing, or indicate a potential cause, if they're related.

There were multiple misbehaving drivers that were uninstalled.

If there are recurrent unexpected shutdowns and restarts then the hardware will need troubleshooting.

There are software that can be used to stress some hardware components but most often swap testing is required to identify malfunctioning hardware.
