Unexpected Kernel Mode Trap

Thanks. Yes. I did all the hardware diagnostics. Maybe a driver - had a bios update recently that improved video play but had issues with the graphics driver before. Just trying to access another computer to download the V2. At the moment it’s not particularly usable if can’t connect to the internet without it crashing.

Did wonder if it was because the ssd is filling up but there is 250g left on a 1tb drive.

Strange. It seems ok again now. Tested out network adapter with ping. Event logs mentioned Firefox but presumably that was just because it happened while I was connected to the internet using firefox.

Anyway I have the V2 zip file but it won't upload on here - is it just click on "Manage Attachments" to upload it? Tried that and it keeps failing.

2) Uninstall Norton software using the applicable uninstall tools:

Download and run the Norton Remove and Reinstall tool for Windows



3) Make sure that Microsoft defender is on



4) Open administrative command prompt and copy and paste:

msdt.exe -id WindowsUpdateDiagnostic

msdt.exe -id BITSDiagnostic


Click view detailed information > post share links



5) If there are no BSOD during the next 24 - 48 hrs then reinstall Norton or continue using Microsoft defender



6) Download and install:

7) Plan to run the HP UEFI hardware diagnostics overnight while sleeping:

Power on while repetitively clicking F2 or F10 > system > extensive > loop until error > the next day if it has made two or more loops > click esc > take pictures > post share links displaying the steps performed with results



8) Open administrative command prompt and copy and paste:


chkdsk /b /v

Run on the Windows drive overnight while sleeping:
