That's great that it's solved. At least you know why now. I don't know what case to have or how many fans, but more case fans will always help. All of your internal components use the air inside the case to cool themselves off. So, the more cool, fresh air you can bring into the case, the better off you are. Whenever you feel this case is resolved, would you please mark this thread as solved?

I have 3 fans. One in the case bringing in air from the back. 1 on the PSU and 1 on the CPU. I'm limited on the video card since the machine is old and PCIe 2.0. Since my video cards are only for music recording studio, that is more memory and CPU intensive then graphics.
Speaking of, I think I'm stuck with only the 6 GB memory. The user guide says that DDR3-1600 is only supported on 1 channel. so I would have to completly replace all the DIMM's I have for a different frequency. I'm not sure I want to spend that on an older system. But I appreciate you pointing this out. I already notice the difference in not having the extra 6 GB of memory. Sigh!

I also want to thank you and @axe0 for being so attentive to my issue. You two were really above and beyond in help!!!!

I will mark this as solved after a couple of days of no crashes.

You're very welcome for what little help I gave. Axe0 did all the hard work. If you have other problems, feel free to post back here. As far as the fans, the rear fan should be blowing hot air out. You should have spaces for more fans bringing cooler outside air in. Airflow should be front to back.

Your right, that one in the back brings air out. There is no place that I can see to install fans to bring air in. I don't know why it's called a Cooler Master if it doesn't cool very well.
Lessons learned for the next box.

What model is it? Any of the HAF series will never have air flow problems.

You're right, there seems to be no place to put an extra fan. But, you should have a front 120mm fan to bring air in.

Also, a pcie 3.0 card will run in your computer. They are all backward compatible.

I didn't even think they might be backwards comparable. I was thinking so something simple like this.

I don't see why that wouldn't work. But, I would like one with a better cooling system. But, the brand is an excellent choice, in my opinion.
