I suspect that it is more hardware related, the laptop is at least 11-12 years old at this point.

I suppose it is a dead cause and the gpu might be possibly dead.. dead....I think it might have happened when I was repasting the the thermal paste on cpu and gpu i will open it up again and try to see if there is any visible damage..
So thanks to zbook , ubayasa and Win10Warlord
I will be in touch if anything happens related to it and close the thread tomorrow

@Win10Warlord
@zbook
@ubuysa
For me there's no need for mentions, I don't do this for points or trophies and the like. I'm happy if I was able to help a little. Your thanks is more than enough.
No problem!
since zbook might be busy i am closing this thread!
If there are hangs / freezes without BSOD using only the Intel integrated GPU that may be able to be to be troubleshooted with a different driver. Reliability monitor may report the hangs / freezes as hardware problems.

Interesting. I have no idea what that component is, but it's certainly busted. Who knows whether it's related to the graphics problem though?
Is it worth spending money on a 12 year old laptop?
