    Windows 10 BSOD PFN_LIST_CORRUPT

Hi I keep getting a bsod on my laptop. I'm not really sure what the cause is (it tends to happen more from a cold boot) but really I am not sure. I had upgraded the SSD in this laptop and upgraded to Windows 10 from 8. Ever since then this has started happening.

I am using a lenovo Y50 laptop (series is called Y50-Y70)

    Logs
here is the log file from the V2 collector

Any help would be greatly appreciated
    Thanks :)

    Welcome!

The four recent dumps are all identical, the BSODs were all caused by the rtsuvc.sys driver...
    Code:
    FAILURE_BUCKET_ID: 0x4E_9a_rtsuvc!unknown_function
This driver is a Realtek driver for your webcam and it's old...
    Code:
    3: kd> lmDvmrtsuvc
    Browse full module list
    start end module name
    fffff807`8e2d0000 fffff807`90179000 rtsuvc T (no symbols)
        Loaded symbol image file: rtsuvc.sys
        Image path: \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\rtsuvc.sys
        Image name: rtsuvc.sys
Browse all global symbols functions data
        Timestamp: Thu Jun 11 11:52:49 2015 (55794C61)
        CheckSum: 002EE965
        ImageSize: 01EA9000
        Translations: 0000.04b0 0000.04e4 0409.04b0 0409.04e4
        Information from resource tables:
There is a later driver, dated 28 July 2016, available on the Lenovo drivers site for your laptop, I suggest you either download and install that driver or delete the exiting driver via Device Manager, reboot and allow Windows Update to find the best driver.

    Hi,

before asking here I just updated the webcam to the Avc/Bison one you linked earlier as I saw on some other forums there was a mention of this webcam driver being outdated. I still had a crash even after updating. I'll go through and update everything else with a Realtek driver in this case such as the card reader and anything else I can find.

The difficulty is I'm not sure how the bsod is triggered so I can't verify if it's fixed yet. I opened the webcam and it worked perfectly fine with no issues.

The five collected mini dump files were debugged.

All five displayed the same misbehaving driver and driver version.

The dates were March 25, 2023 to June 21, 2023.

Either the driver or the hardware needs replacement.

Another option is to use alternative hardware.

Indeed, it's just as likely that the camera itself has failed.
