Daily BSODs with different error codes, troubleshooting gives nothing

    Hi, please help.
I have on the average daily BSODs, the most common error code is Unexpected_store_exception, once i got Memory_management, and now I got Critical_process_died. Interestingly the failure reports also informs me that the system fails to record dump files in C:Windows/Minidump.
I have done moderate troubleshooting, the system is updated to the teeth, no driver conflicts in Device Manager. I have scanned the system, ran antivirus, ran chkdsk, Furmark for 2h without issues, Windows Memory Diagnostics Tool, scanned for corrupt system files in powerShell, done diagnostics using Dell's SupportAssist. I find nothing, all seems perfect.

    Background info:
The laptop is bought refurbed one month ago, I reinstalled Windows since they sent it to me in a wrong language and, long story short, I had to do clean install with Windows10 downloaded from Dell. The laptop had issues with battery and cooling, has a new battery now and I have adjusted settings so that the overheating is under control and I can use the laptop now. Before the laptop with its horrible cooling was burning to crisp and switching off when i did video editing. The settings to get overheating under control are in parentheses (Power Management > Primary Battery Charge Configuration > changed to Primarily AC Use in BIOS; disabled Intel Turbo Boost in BIOS; in Power settings have activated System Cooling policy under Processor power management; also downloaded Studio driver for my GPU and forced my video editor to use GPU instead of integrated graphics). I have opened the laptop and changed the battery as well as taken out and put back in RAM.

Windows 10 Version 22H2. I attach the V2 log collector file. Please help.

Oh my, that doesn't sound to have been refurbished well, or at all! If you can take it back for a refund then please do so. If it's been overheating to the extent you say then you may well already have suffered damage. The CPU should have been repasted if it was refurbished, clearly it wasn't.

Your System log is filled with PCIe root port warning messages like this...
    Code:
    Event[7]:
      Log Name: System
      Source: Microsoft-Windows-WHEA-Logger
      Date: 2023-04-24T12:38:13.1180000Z
      Event ID: 17
      Task: N/A
      Level: Warning
      Opcode: Info
      Keyword: N/A
      User: S-1-5-19
      User Name: NT AUTHORITY\LOCAL SERVICE
      Computer: DESKTOP-5OROADU
      Description:
A corrected hardware error has occurred.

    Component: PCI Express Root Port
Error Source: Advanced Error Reporting (PCI Express)

    Primary Bus:Device:Function: 0x0:0x1C:0x0
    Secondary Bus:Device:Function: 0x0:0x0:0x0
    Primary Device Name:PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_A110&SUBSYS_07BE1028&REV_F1
    Secondary Device Name:
The device with PCI VEN_8086&DEV_A110 is the PCIe root port, so it sounds as though you either don't have the correct chipset drivers installed or, more likely, there is some sort of hardware issue on the motherboard.

You could try downloading the Intel Driver & Support tool and use that to look for updated drivers. Since it's a Dell laptop you'd be better advised to visit the Dell driver support site and download all the drivers from there.

There is also this hard drive related error...
    Code:
    Event[4862]:
      Log Name: System
      Source: disk
      Date: 2023-04-26T12:52:22.4720000Z
      Event ID: 11
      Task: N/A
      Level: Error
      Opcode: N/A
      Keyword: Classic
      User: N/A
      User Name: N/A
      Computer: DESKTOP-5OROADU
      Description:
The driver detected a controller error on \Device\Harddisk1\DR1.
That only appears once in the log but it does indicate a possible issue with the hard driver or its controller.

But my best advice to you is to take this laptop back and ask for your money back. It clearly has not been properly refurbished if it's overheating, it may already be damaged beyond repair.

That sounds really bad. I still have warranty but I cant return it and get money back anymore, that was only for 1 month. Basically I can send it to them if/when it breaks. So I kinda have a worst case situation. This is my only computer which i need it to work, and i cant really afford shopping for an additional one. Thats why i did everything possible to make it function despite the overheating.

I installed Intel Driver & Support tool and there was a new graphics driver, so I updated. Hope is up.

Thank you for telling me where the problems are located. I appreciate that a lot. At least I know I dont need to reseat RAM. Probably reinstalling Windows will not help either? I dont want to, unless its needed. I will just end up adjusting the new Windows installation the same way the current one is adjusted anyway.

This Dell 9560 model is horrible with overheating issues. By design, it isnt made for high loads despite being a workstation. When I opened it I saw the thermal paste applied looked good so I didnt try to reapply. The heat is under control now but I have no way of knowing if there is any damage done to the motherboard. All tests I run tell me that the hardware is fine, and the first decent info that gave me any answers, was now here from you! For some reason there is even an error that no dmp files are being created.
I wish i could do something more to try to fix this because generally it's between me and the laptop here, whether i fix it or it dies..

There is no way to know just by looking whether it's properly pasted. You can only know by removing the cooler, which will necessitate a repaste afterwards of course.

If the Intel Driver & Support Assistant finds no new chipset drivers then look on the Dell support site and install any updated drivers you find there. That does rather suggest that there were no chipset driver updates available however, and that would point again at a hardware problem.

I don't know what the consumer protection laws are where you live, but I would check them out so that you know what rights you have. This does not sound like a good buy and I wonder why you didn't return it during the first month? At the very least I would send it back under warranty and refuse to accept it back until it's working properly.

Intel Assistant found a (graphic?) driver that I updated so I will see if there will be any difference.
I didnt send it back during the first month because I need a computer to work, and I can rarely find a laptop i can afford which fits the specs I need, where im located right now. This laptop fit the bill so im holding onto it trying to make it work. So I will try to do everything i can to solve the BSODs too

You said you had a warranty? I would use it if I were you.

Ah, now I see that. I did check that Windows was genuine. I should have looked further.

I wasn't aware of this. I'm really sorry. I will look into it, find it and clean my system up
