    Windows 10 Valorant "SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED" (vgk.sys)

I installed the Windows 10 64 Bit LTSC 2021 on my computer, before that the LTSC 2019 version was installed and I could play the Valorant game very comfortably, but now when I try to enter it, it just throws the blue screen and I get the "SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED" (vgk.sys) error. There was no problem in the previous Windows 1809 version, but I have it in this version and I have installed the next versions from this version and tested it in the virtual machine, I get an error in all of them, what should I do? If you know someone who is an expert on this subject, it would be nice if you tag them. (I know that I can get around the problem by staying on the 1809 version, but I opened this topic for the update of the computer.) Please help

    Windows Build/Version: Windows 10 LTSC 2021 Version 21H2 (Build Number 19044.2546)
    DESKTOP-UNEI48J-(2023-04-05_12-45-56).zip
PSU: HP DC7800P SFF Original PSU

vgk.sys is part of Vanguard Driver and developed by Riot Games, Inc. according to the vgk.sys version information.

vgk.sys's description is "Vanguard kernel-mode driver."

vgk.sys is digitally signed by Riot Games, Inc..

vgk.sys is usually located in the 'c:\program files\riot vanguard\' folder.

    Security check

Here is how you fix the system thread exception not handled error on Windows 10 and Windows 11.

Thanks for your attention, my computer boots normally and even I write from it, but my main problem is that Valorant does not work on Windows 10 21H2 or later, so I can't play, it just crashes into a blue screen as soon as I turn it on. Is there anything we can do about it?

You can update driver if any new version available, try updating game or uninstall the driver.

Is it reasonable to use a program like Driver Booster while doing this?

Don't use third-party driver updater software they can install buggy and out of date drivers, you should install driver from developer website.

Do NOT use Third-Party software for this sort of problem. It can lead to further problems elsewhere !

You should ALWAYS check for game updates from the developers website, or failing that, either post in their Forum if they have one, or contact the administrator.

    I hope this helps.

Have you actually tried consumer versions of Windows 10/11. Whole point of LTSC versions is they are designed for business not for game playing.

I applied the solutions you said but it didn't work, I completely removed the sound driver, I did the update to the video card driver, but it still didn't work, I tried deleting the game and reinstalling it, running it as an administrator, raising the security permissions of the vgk.sys file and many other solutions but it didn't work.. Any other suggestions you can suggest? If there is no solution, I think I'm leaving, I can't deal with it anymore. I've been struggling since yesterday, even today I formatted my computer 7 times.. My SSD will expire, I couldn't solve the error

I tried it 2 hours ago still dont work in it. I had already downloaded the ltsc version because there were no unnecessary updates, applications and debloat.

Yes I've heard some things about this issue, thank you for confirming, even though I installed the drivers manually and from the original site, I still get the same error.

Only reason you're getting blue screen of death error, it's because of buggy driver, not much can be done without installing good driver.
