I know I said I'd back off, and I apologise for intruding again, but the simplest way to check whether this is software or hardware is to boot Windows into Safe Mode (with networking). In Safe Mode with networking the only drivers loaded are those listed in HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\SafeBoot\Network, and generally that only contains Microsoft drivers.
This means that many of your devices will have limited capability (or possibly none at all) because their third-party drivers will not be loaded. Your display will be very low resolution for example, because you'll be using the Windows basic display driver. If you start Safe Mode with networking you will however be able to use the PC, albeit in a limited way. The idea then is to try and make it BSOD in Safe Mode. Use all the normal apps and games (if you can) and stress it as much as you can too. We need to be absolutely certain that it won't BSOD in Safe Mode before being confident that it's a third-party driver problem.
