Strange BSOD issue related to my USB port and GPU

    Windows 10 Home version number: 21H2 (19044.2251)

    Hello,

I have a strange BSOD issue with my laptop. It usually happens like this:

    1. I open a game via Steam client, play 1-2 hours. Then I quit the game.

    2. After a few hours, when I try to open a game via Steam again, the game won't open. And it's not just the game, the Steam client will also not open. Try launching the game directly (not using Steam) also doesn't work. No error message or anything.

    3. When this issue happens, all games that I have on my laptop will not work. It's not just the ones purchased from Steam. It is as if something wrong happens with the GPU.

    4. If I unplug my gamepad (Logitech F310) from my USB port, the game will immediately open up on my screen. I don't need to re-open the game or anything. It's like the system still remembers that I tried to launch the game before.

    5. When if I try to plug the gamepad back, it is not detected (Device Manager will show exclamation mark).

    5. If I try to restart or shutdown Windows, it will stuck for a long time, then blue screen will appear.

Here are the links to the log files and memory dump:

I've already tried updating my GPU driver (both Intel and Nvidia), but it doesn't solve the problem.

Can anyone help me solve this? Any help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

Type msinfo32 in the left lower corner > allow it to remain open for 10 - 15 minutes > save as NFO (do not save as text) > post a share link into this thread using one drive, drop box, or google drive.

Detach all nonessential Logitech hardware and uninstall all Logitech software.
Then post a new V2 share link.

Read this link on Windows Driver Verifier (WDV):
Enable and Disable Driver Verifier in Windows 10

Learn the methods to recover from using the tool by booting into safe mode and running one or more of these commands:
    verifier /reset
    verifier /bootmode resetonbootfail

    Make a new restore point:

Thank you for the detailed response.

    NFO file:

FYI I only have one Logitech device, the gamepad. And I never install any Logitech software.

When using the Driver Verifier, do you want me to leave the Logitech gamepad connected or unplug it?

    There were problems viewing msinfo32.

    1) Uninstall any of these non-Microsoft software:
    a) antivirus
    b) firewall
    c) drive encryption

    2) Run:
    https://www.tenforums.com/attachment...p_plus_log.bat

Post a share link into this thread using one drive, drop box, or google drive

    3) Open msinfo32 > allow it to remain open for 10 - 15 minutes or more > save as NFO > post a share link into this thread

    4) Make a new restore point

    5) After the above steps > remove all Logitech hardware > uninstall all Logitech software > start WDV with these settings:
    a) test all non-Microsoft drivers
    b) test no Microsoft drivers
    c) start the customized tests with the 3 displayed in the TF link

    6) Plan to run WDV with various customized tests for 48 hours and then for 24 additional hours after the last BSOD

    7) Whenever starting WDV if there is no immediate BSOD then open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:
    verifier /querysettings
Post a share link into this thread using one drive, drop box, or google drive.

    8) For any BSOD post a new V2 share link into the newest post

There is no immediate BSOD when running WDV. Below is the output of verifier /querysettings

    querysettings.txt - Google Drive

When running WDV, is it okay to launch and play a game?

When running WDV it will stress test drivers and the CPU.

The computer can be used with the understanding that there may be unexpected shutdowns and performance problems.

If there are performance problems including very slow boot then comment into this thread.

Before starting WDV please perform the following:

Find a flash drive that you can format (> or = 8 GB).

    1) Create a bootable Windows 10 Media Creation Tool (MCT) (Windows 10 iso):

Create Bootable USB Flash Drive to Install Windows 10

    Download Windows 10 ISO File

    https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/soft...load/windows10

    2) Test all drives:
    a) Run HD Tune: (free or trial version)
    HD Tune website
Post images or share links for results on these tabs:
    a) Health
    b) Benchmark
    c) Full error scan

    b) Run: Sea Tools for Windows
    https://www.seagate.com/content/dam/...sInstaller.exe
How to use SeaTools for Windows | Support Seagate US
    Long generic test
Post images or share links into this thread.

These steps / tests can run overnight while sleeping:
    a) HD Tune full error scan
    b) Sea Tools for Windows long generic test

Before starting WDV run these additional tests / steps: (in sequence)

    1) Open administrative command prompt and type or copy and paste:

    chkdsk /b /v C:

Running these chkdsk switches on the Windows drive can take significant time so run these switches overnight while sleeping.

    Microsoft Windows [Version 10.0.19045.2251]
    (c) Microsoft Corporation. All rights reserved.

    C:\WINDOWS\system32>chkdsk /b /v
The type of the file system is NTFS.
    Cannot lock current drive.

Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another
process. Would you like to schedule this volume to be
checked the next time the system restarts? (Y/N)

    Type: Y

    Reboot as needed.

    2) Run:

Post a share link into this thread using one drive, drop box, or google drive

    3) Run HD Sentinel: (free or trial version)

Do I still need to run the SeaTools or just skip to chkdsk test?
