BSOD During Overwatch/Overwatch 2 and World of Warcraft

Hello everyone,

I've been having issues with World of Warcraft and Overwatch 2 for a while now constantly getting BSODs and the game crashing/freezing. I haven't noticed any other game causing the same issues (or atleast not as frequently/solved). The issues are always IRQL_not_less_or_equal or DTC watchdog violation. No idea what causes it I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling my GPU drivers and moving the game files from HDD to SSD. My Discord is saifullah#1331 feel free to add me as I'm very active on there if you're having the same issues or have solutions. My windows version is Version 21H! (OS Build 19043.2006)

Test your ram with memtest.

So there are two things to look into:


1. There is a possible problem with the RAM as @tomdsr has pointed out. I would suggest that it could be as simple as that too high a memory clock speed is being used for your system. Please remove the XMP overclock to bring the speed down to 2933MHz. This will bring you into the recommended speeds for your processor (see https://www.amd.com/en/products/cpu/amd-ryzen-5-2600x)

2. The driver for the INTEL wireless network Netwtw08.sys may need updating. Try on the motherboard support pages first or if necessary go to the INTEL Driver Support website.

Thank you for your help and having a look. I've disabled XMP and the speed has gone down to 2600~mhz will this be okay? I will also download memtest and do a few loops and see the result of that and will update my driver and keep you guys updated thank you so much. :)

Great progress. That memory speed will be OK for testing purposes. Also update the driver and then if there are no further BSODs you can experiment with increasing the RAM speed to 2933MHz.

I've tried updating the driver straight from the Intell Driver support page however everytime I click start download it says downloading then just says download again not sure why it won't update, I tried reinstalling the driver support however the same issue prevails.

I'm not sure why the driver will not update - it's possible you already have the latest installed. In which case I would simply see how the system behaves now your RAM is adjusted. Please post a new set of logfiles if you get any further BSOD crashes.

I will do thank you so much do you want me to mark this thread as solved? Or should I wait a few days to see how it runs first.
