Booting Into BIOS in Strange Circumstances

Hello there, I have a strange issue with my now rather old laptop. I need to replace it eventually however I cannot at the moment.

Every couple of months I travel for work and take my laptop with me. When I set it up in my new location the laptop will boot continuously into BIOS for about 45 minutes - 1 hour and then eventually it will boot normally. Sometimes the screen will flicker or go black and I'll have to power down in able to restart. Eventually, it will boot, usually after moving the computer slightly but sometimes that doesn't even seem to work.

After it boots for that first time, it will never boot into BIOS again until I travel back home. It will then do it again and work fine. It only seems to happen when I travel.

I have attached a log collector, however as it doesn't actually seem to Bluescreen, I'm not sure how much use it will be. Sorry therefore if this is posted to the wrong area.

I have described the issue to the best of my ability however if you need any other pieces of information please let me know.
    Windows Version: 21H2

    MSI-(2022-10-02_02-56-09).zip

    Kind regards

Well, I understand that this must be the cause. but I was wondering if the issue. I'm unsure how a car journey could cause a computer to fail to boot, and then boot completely OK and work fine. I was wondering if there was a possibility to try and see what is causing the issue, as I cannot, just not travel.

I think you have one or more loose components. Intermittent connections frequently defy rational analysis.
Open it up and take a look.

If you cannot see anything loose then go to the MSI website to find & download the Service manual so you can see how to pull out & put back in ["reseat"] various components.
    Personally, I'd reseat these:-
    - The CMOS battery [which might usefully be replaced with a new one although I've never had to do that]
    - the disk[s]
    - the cable connecting the disk[s] to the motherboard
    - the RAM
    - the PSU connection to the motherboard

    Best of luck,
    Denis

I would also check whichever "key" it is that you normally have to press to enter the BIOS. It may be "sticking"and may get stuck somehow, after riding in a car for a while. I only ever had one key stick for me... it was the ESC key, and that did some very weird things.
