    Constant BSOD (Even After a Clean Install)

    I've been having BSDs for a while now and it's driving me nuts!

    Windows: 19044.2006

    I've tried running:
    • Memory tests (no errors)
    • Disk checks (no errors)
    • Rolling back video drivers (still BSDs)
    • Reinstalling Windows 10 from disc (BSD after 1/2 hour)
    • SFC
    • Variations on "DISM.exe /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth /Source:C:\RepairSource\Windows /LimitAccess"

    There is no pattern, except it seems to happen when running videos or son after. So I changed from VLC to Potplayer. No difference.

    The errors are all over the place:
    Unexpected Kernel More Trap
    Hypervisor Error

    Please help!

    TIA!

    Thank You.

    I haven't tried that yet.

    Since I started this thread I have:
    • Removed the NVIDIA drivers with "Display Driver Uninstaller" Display Driver Uninstaller and installed the latest.
    • Ran "Intel Processor Diagnostics" with no errors reported.
    • Popped the cover of the case to dust. There wasn't a lot, but I cleaned.

    WHEA Uncorrectable Error shortly after.

    * * *

    I d/l the NVIDIA driver via Device Manager and rebooted. Two hours have past and I've viewed some videos and system has not yet crashed.

    * * *
    System froze, no BSD.

    Ran Intel Prime Number Stress Test. Everything passed.

    Stress Test

    Ran Intel Diagnostics on CPU, no errors.
    * * *
    System froze with no BSD. Rebooted
    * * *
    Ran PRIME95 for an hour with no errors. Max temp was 181F.

    Next step is to uninstall drivers with Display Driver Uninstaller and pull NVIDIA card, then reinstall Intel Native Video on MB. See what happens.

    I have no proof that it's the video card, but my instincts point in that direction based on running videos and system freezing / BSD shortly after.

    I would LOVE some pointers!

    Please help!

    Tested:

    CPU
    Tested with Windows and Prime95 for 12-hours and Intel

    Heat
    Monitored during tests and during operations, never passed thresholds.

    Memory

    Tested with Windows and MemTestPro 12-hours
    (32-Gb in 2-16 Gb Sticks)
    Removed one and ran tests, no errors
    Removed that one and replaced with other. Ran tests, no errors.

    Video
    Card replaced and new drivers loaded

    OS
    Windows Uninstall quality update and block it
    Windows Restored image from back up

    Disk Checks
    No Errors
    * * *
    HYPERVISOR ERROR
    WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR
    DRIVER_OVERRAN_STACK_BUFFER
    SYNTHETIC WATCHDOG TIMEOUT
    UNEXPECTED_KERNEL_MODE_TRAP
    IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL
    PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA
    DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION

    * * *
    Maintenance Refresh of Windows
    Still getting errors

    SYNTHETIC_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT > kernel > Running Video
    SYNTHETIC_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT > kernel > Running Scandisk on "C"
    Rebooted
    Running Scandisk > no errors on "C"

    * * *
    The system either freezes or get one of the BSOD above.

    I am at a complete loss!

    Shhhhhhhhh! I Think I Fixed It!

    Replaced the old video card with a new 3060. This was performed with DDU and a clean install from the NVIDIA drivers. The system was still BSOD several times a day. While buying the new card may have not fixed the problem it eliminated a potential issue.

    Went back to multiple restores from the point where the system wasn't crashing. Still had some issues so I downloaded and ran Nir Sofer Blue Screen View. This in turn pointed me to the Realtek Audio Driver and Driver Verify. This seemed to be the causes for all the codes.

    After downloading the newest driver from Realtek and removing and reinstalling I then re-enabled Windows Update with a metered connection option and searched for optional downloads. It found 2 for my Dell monitor (analog and digital connection) and Realtek audio.

    Ran the system for 48-hours and no blue screens.

    Did another image backup and installed the feature update for Windows 10.

    Still no issues!

    Regardless of all the variations of BSOD I was getting, to think that it was an old piece of code for an AUDIO DRIVER seems ridiculous!
