    Reoccurring BSOD - PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA ntfs.sys

    Hi!

I've one BSOD that still keeps reoccurring since I've build this PC (late 2021) and tried fixing the problem myself, with no luck.

The BSOD I'm referring to is: PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA ntfs.sys

I've read a lot about it and again, tried many things, like testing my RAM with 2 programs, both showed no errors, checked my disks, updated diverse programs, drivers, BIOS you name it (some may or may not be up to date as of right now), turned off the XMP profile and PBO in BIOS but the same BSOD still occurred nonetheless. Tried using just 2 sticks didn't help either. Set a custom value for Virtual Memory wasn't the solution either.

I genuinely think it's not hardware, at the very least not RAM related, as in my RAM is fine. So should be my 5 SSD drives.

I personally think it's something software related. Apparently some old drivers could be the reason for me having those BSOD.

Last but not least, I tried reading/analyzing the minidump files myself and downloaded "WinDbg Preview" and "WhoCrashed" for it but honestly I didn't come far at all as this is out of my scope.

This is why I'm here. In hopes someone can analyze the dump files.

My Current Windows Version number is: 21H2 (OS Build 19044.1826)

    My PC specs are:

    OS: Win 10 Education 64-Bit
    CPU: AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core Processor 3.70 GHz
Motherboard: ROG Crosshair VIII Dark Hero
    RAM: G.Skill Trident Z Neo DIMM Kit 64GB, DDR4-3600, CL14-15-15-35
    GPU: GeForce GTX 970 MSI

If you need any more information or have questions, feel free to ask!

    Cheers

I've downloaded the new chipset and uninstalled the old one. While installing the new one I encountered a new BSOD: " SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED" ntfys.sys

    help

    - - - Updated - - -

I managed to update the chipset and my bios. But whenever I try to update windows it crashes. This is the info I'm getting when the update rolls back and I'm back in windows again: "0xC1900101 - 0x20017" this stands for "Driver issue"

so it seems like I have some old driver or software ?
