Thanks zbook. To late tonight to start this. I will also get a full macrium before I start.
The backup image will be extra protection.
If the two safe mode commands fail then the third step is system restore with the newly made system restore point:
Create System Restore Point in Windows 10
System restore is not initially used as sometimes it interferes with creation of the dump files.
I'm taking from this, and I saw one thread, that if turned on I may not be able to disable.
Is this because one can't get Windows started or because Verifier is buggy and just doesn't disengage?
I looked and I counted roughly 34 non MS drivers. Thinking maybe I do 12 at a time.
The typo was corrected......thx
There is an additional recovery option that was not yet added to the tutorial.
In almost all cases reset, resetonbootfail, restore work.
The backup image is the added protection.
The tool can be used in many fashions.
In the forums we almost always tests all drivers at one time and modify the customized tests.
Using all customized tests with one driver is an option but is not the approach that has been used.
When available post results for administrative command prompt
verifier /querysettings
Please test all non-Microsoft drivers using the 3 customized tests in the Ten Forums link.
If there are no performance problems then increase the the number of customized settings by 4 - 6 / hour.
Comments will be posted after viewing the share link.
So I fired up verifier this morning. All 34 non MS drivers included - 3 tests enabled. Have a look. Not sure if I have this right as nothing seems very stressed ( CPU, Disk)

Just so I don't screw this up I want to review how I add tests.
Is it basically open the app again and run through process. I assume the three test I have enabled would show enabled and I would just checked off so many more.
Is there any preferred order to add or just start at top of list and pick 4-6?

Every modification requires the tool to be restarted.
If there were no significant performance problems or very slow boot then you can add 4 - 6 customized tests per hour.
Every computer has different hardware / software drivers / BIOS / operating system factors so the environment is almost always an unknown.
If there is a problem you've already tuned up many factors before starting the tool:
scannow
restorehealth
BIOS
restorepoint
backup images
etc.
and you've learned the methods to recover from using the tool in safe mode.
All customized tests can be used with the exception of [ ] 0x00000004 Randomized low resources simulation.
There is a website that starts the tool with 7 customized settings.
There is a Microsoft link were the tool is started with 19 customized settings.
So the TF link is the most conservative.
The tool not only stress tests the drivers but also the CPU.
