Pc shuts off and turns back again on when Windows 10 was loading

    Hi my new pc.

    12900K with NZXT KRAKEN X73 ( 40-50C in Far Cry 6 )

    2x16GB DDR4 KINGSTON DDR4 3600MHZ in GEAR 1

    RTX 3090 Ti Gigabyte Gaming

    Aorus Z690 Elite DDR4 bios F5

    SSD 1 TB NVM PCIE

I went from Aorus Z490 and 10850K to 12900K and Aorus Z690 Elite DDR4. Windows 10 is installed on SSD from 10850K build.
When new pc booted i enabled in GEAR 1 XMP ( 3600 mhz ). Then i rebooted to UEFI again without issues.

Then i reboot pc again and when windows 10 was loading pc shutts off and turns back on again. And second time it booted to Windows 10 normally. Is my pc fine? Why pc shuts off ( OFF ) and turns back again on first time, when windows 10 was loading ?

Some UEFI devices can require a couple Hard boot before being completely configured.

Also your Windows may have detected a driver that would not load properly, crash the system and disabled it...

This process is called "hard recovery" and Windows disabled the driver and then booted with the default one and will replace it for the good one on subsequent restart.

Oh yeah, if you shutdown and reboot now with no problems. Don't think about it.

last question. Pc not rebooted. Pc shuts down and boot itself up. Not typical reboot.

It happened before Windows 10 boot <%>Getting devices ready

. Anyway it not because pc is faulty?

If you want to check if it is your Windows that has a power management problem.

Boot on a windows installation media. At the install prompt press SHIFT+F10, in the CMD prompt type "wpeutil reboot", if the computer shuts down completely and powers back on (same problem). I would verify If there is a bios update, then reset it to default, reconfigure only boot options. and try again with the install media. if it does the same, try with a live linux environment to do the test. If the problem persist. You could be in the case that some hardware configuration can disable warmboot and I had one that never did it.

But, no your machine did not crash, Your bios or OS is misinterpreting the warmboot command or it is disabled by hardware.

If you perform the test I mentioned, you will be able to know if it comes from your hardware configuration or your Windows installation.

Without doing it, I cant say if it's Windows Power management that is miss configured...

But in both cases, It does not affect Performance or stability.

    S
When Windows 10 was loading first time on new motherboard ,pc shutts off ( heard psu click ) and turns back on again. And second time it booted normally to Getting Devices Ready %.
Just before moment when windows 10 show GETTING DEVICES READY %. It just turned off <psu click>and rebooted itself and windows 10 start configuring. Not happened again since.
    Is this ok?
