Constant and Random WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR
Hi all,
For the last week I have been trying to figure out why my computer keeps getting WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR BSODs, with no success. They happen constantly and seemingly randomly, anywhere from 30 seconds to 30 minutes after turning on my PC. Hopefully one of you can help out.
My PC specs:
OS: Windows 10 Pro, Version 21H2 (OS Build 19044.1645)
CPU: Intel Core i7-8700K 3.7 GHz 6-Core Processor
MOBO: ASRock Z370 Extreme4 ATX LGA1151 Motherboard
RAM: G.Skill Trident Z RGB 16 GB (2 x 8 GB) DDR4-3000 CL15 Memory
SSD: Samsung 850 Evo 250 GB 2.5" Solid State Drive
HDD: Western Digital Caviar Blue 1 TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive
GPU: EVGA GeForce GTX 1060 6GB 6 GB SSC GAMING Video Card
PSU: EVGA G3 650 W 80+ Gold Certified Fully Modular ATX Power Supply
I've tried the following to test various things:
Drivers:
Reinstalled MOBO-suggested Drivers (from ASRock > Z370 Extreme4)
CPU:
Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool: No errors
Prime95 Stress Test
Idles around 35, 55-60 in the stress test
Cleaned and reapplied thermal paste
GPU:
Removed GPU and uninstalled drivers
HDD/SSD:
Attached one at a time, tried to reinstall Windows on both
Detached both, tried to install fresh Windows from USB to new SSD
I get WHEA BSOD during both the above.
RAM:
Windows Memory Diagnostic: No errors
Memtest86+: Found a pair with errors, RMA asked to return the pair of sticks (1 good and 1 bad) together. Other pair is okay. 10 passes with no errors.
PSU:
Jumper Test: Works
Watched rail voltage: 3, 5 ,12V rails all had appropriate voltage without spikes
Motherboard:
Reset BIOS settings (by just loading default in BIOS)
Clear CMOS Jumper
Reflash BIOS
Windows:
Windows Update
sfc /scannow
Dism /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth
Tried to reinstall through "Reset my PC" as well as downloading a fresh copy to bootable USB and trying to install to a brand new SSD, but I get BSOD during the process.
I've also tried taking a look at the dump files using WinDbg, but couldn't find anything. I'm guessing it could just be an actual CPU/PSU/motherboard hardware issue, but hopefully I can narrow it down and not have to try replacing parts one at a time. Also, my PC does not seem to crash when booted into Safe mode, if that helps narrow things down.
