Freezing upon waking computer and booting, No BSOD however.

Just to preface this I have not received a BSOD when this happens so I hope I'm still posting this in the correct location. However my laptop just freezes completely and I have to do a hard shutdown (holding the power button until it shuts off) whenever I wake my laptop up from sleeping or even when I cold boot it.

I have checked Event Viewer and I see that I have a couple of recurring errors, the first being:
"DCOM got error "1084" attempting to start the service lfsvc with arguments "Unavailable" in order to run the server:
    {08D9DFDF-C6F7-404A-A20F-66EEC0A609CD}"

    Wit the second being:
"The Computer Browser service depends on the Server service which failed to start because of the following error:
The dependency service or group failed to start."

However I am able to boot into safe mode just fine, even safe mode with networking and everything behaves normally. I can't for the life of me figure out what is going on

EDIT: I forgot to add that I did the upgrade from Windows 7 originally and had the problem so I figured it might have been an issue with the upgrade itself causing some kind of problem so I did a clean install of Windows 10 Pro on it and the issue still existed afterwards as well.

have you tried reset windows in settings/update and security / recovery.....be sure you have backed up anything important first just in case....using a USB pen created from windows media creator W10 download you can boot and use the repair.option.....also if the laptop has activated windows 10, you can now do a clean install of windows 10 which will auto activate after installation.....assuming you are ok with starting over on your laptop....

My apologies I forgot to include that in my original topic.

I did the upgrade originally and started having the problem so I did a clean install and the problem still persisted afterwards.

    Hi ddswanson31,

    Welcome to the 10forums.

Since the problem you're experiencing is not a bluescreen I suggest you create a new thread at the Performance and Maintenance forum.
The BSOD forum is specific for the people who are having bluescreens.

Thank you axe0, I have created a new thread at the location listed. I have marked this as solved as well.
