I am very sad that you had the other thread deleted since all of our troubleshooting steps are now lost and anyone who comes to this thread won't know what is going on. IMO having 2 threads was a minor issue and if any thread should have been deleted it should have been this one since you changed operating systems.

Hopefully, you are at a point there is a game plan in place to narrow this issue down. By replacing the OS drive, you can prove the problem of the OS continually being corrupted points to the Samsung drive or the ram. If it proves to be the ram, you will probably have some corruption on the other drives that you will have to deal with. First and foremost, the main thing is getting your OS stable.

Despite the confusion, please come back to the other forum for issues that may arise in the future. We really do want to help. I do want to commend you on your thorough testing during this ordeal. Please let me know whether any of the things we discussed solved the problem. Good luck.

So far good on the new SSD. No issues. So it might been the issue with the 860 Evo or maybe the m.2 slot.

The 860 M.2s are SATA without the cabling. There are no such thing as NVMe variants of those, TMK.

Hey all. I’m having the same issue and it’s the second time it’s happened. I’m afraid the turn my computer off or put it to sleep at this point because of it. The solution the first time was to get a new drive and start over
With a fresh install. I got a different NVME drive and put it in a different slot.

I put the drive I thought was bad into my Pc as a backup drive and ALL my files where there, even windows. It’s like the boot loader couldn’t find windows there, I can fix anything with windows because it can’t find itself.

I’m right back to it again now randomly and I’m about ready to lose my mind.

It's been quite some time now. The ssd that was failing with windows installed hasnt had any problems anymore. I don't have windows on it but other stuff. I daily scan the drive for errors and 0. It is so weird how it was erroring before but now its completely fine. My windows is now on an another ssd which still hasnt had any problems.

It looks as thought mine (this time) had something to do with the type of booting it was doing? I’m not super sure but I got it working again… this is so weird..
