Hi. After cleaning the heat spreader and the contact area for the water cooling assembly, and reapplying the thermal paste, there was a bit of improvement on the heat issue, but not a great deal. Primes95 caused the temperature to hit 100C less frequently (after 5 minutes of testing), but as you know it should be nowhere near that. Its constant running temperature (with a browser and some other simple apps running) appears to be around 30C-36C. Any suggestions as to how to bring the heat down to something a little more sane during the testing?
Btw, I looked up this thing about the integrated heat spreader, and it appears to be the flat piece of metal that covers the top of the CPU.
