BSOD now only black screen. Non Booting Windows 10

    Hi

I have an ASUS tuf laptop running windows 10. This afternoon I got a BSOD and now I cannot get it to boot to windows. The UEFI / BIOS splash screen shows but then it just goes black and I cannot proceed any further.

I will list the things I have tried so far.

I have a bootable usb which boots to windows installation and repair options. Using this:

I have tried startup repair but it doesn’t work
Tried system restore but it cant see any
There is no reset your PC option listed

I do however have the command line option. On using the command line I have noticed that when I list the volumes on the pc that the C drive has changed to the D drive. It is still listed as the OS drive. Pic attached. I have already tried reassigning letter but they automatically change back.

I have also tried the bootrec commands of:

    Bootrec /fixmbr
    Bootrec /fixboot
    Bootrec /rebuildbcd

After running the final command I get the following

    Total identified windows installations: 1

    [1] D:\Windows

    Add installation to boot list?

If I click yes I get the error “the requested system device cannot be identified due to multiple indistinguishable devices potentially matching the identification criteria"

Also tried sfc /scannow which results in the error "windows resource protection could not perform the requested operation"

at this point searching around has been futile so any help would be greatly appreicated.

OS on D:\ ? Any special reason ? Has it been moved since installation ?

Is this the original (factory/OOBE) setup/installation or has it been re-installed ?

Have there been any changes since (last) installation - drives removed/detached, partitions (re)moved ?

    EDIT : Multiple physical drives ? - D:\ on Drive 0 or Drive 1 ?

Shut down the machine and then remove the circular battery from the motherboard.
Wait for a minute or so,then replace the battery and restart and see if a normal boot sequence occurs.
If not, shut down and restart and press the "Pause/Break" key and see if that allows you to access the bios and enable you to check the boot order,if any.
Should that not work, power off again and insert the usb, then restart to see if that permits a repair attempt.
