    Game controller causes random BSOD

    Good day

Windows ver 21H1 (OS Build 19043.1466)

I had this error before and it was found that my controller was causing the issue.

Basically alot of games would hang at the splash screen or similar.

Trying to restart would just sit on the screen for about 5 minutes until i got a BSOD with the "Driver Power State Failure" error.

I tried an older controller and it worked for about 2 months until this error resurfaced.

So ive resorted to now just not using any controllers now - im slightly baffled as to whats actually causing this.

I will upload the memory.dmp in due course but im pretty sure it relates to the same error.

Any other ideas or should i just not use game controllers anymore?

    Kind regards

Didnt see that error - only error in event log was the bugcheck error

I had this exact error in an earlier post last year:
    Event ID 1001 Bugcheck

Found out it was my controller that was the issue.

Tried another controller for 2 months with no issues and same error comes back.

So im resorting to fact i might have to do away with using game controllers.
I really want to know whats causing that issue cause its too random to pinpoint what it is.

My upload speed is not great so it will take a while for me to upload the memory.dmp file.

If it helps i will go back to my orignal thread that i marked as solved at the back end of last year.

I apologise if i made a new thread wasnt sure what to do as problem is similar just different in the sense its a new controller doing it.

I will add on the log files as well.

Please dont add it to a thread from last year. Thats a lot of time and things change with time, even if they seem the same.

Add the V2 to this post please

Your device list doesnt indicate any game controller. Not in driver-versions text file.

    What controller is it?

Are you using the microsoft provided driver, a driver on a disk or ?

If it was installed, i would suggest going into device manager and making sure the box in the image is unchecked. Yes its for my mouse, but same thing.

I have disconnected my controller for now as i didn't want to run the risk for any further issues so it wont be listed under device manager.

    Controller is Logitech Gamepad F310

Driver that im using is microsoft driver (xusb22.sys)

I will send you an updated V2 just to show controller now that ive re-connected.

Didnt see option for power management tab for controller.

Not to sound snarky, but if its a logitech F310, you dont see where or why it can cause an issue using the xbox controller driver?

Logitech gaming software (for your F310) https://download01.logi.com/web/ftp/...ick/lgs510.exe from Downloads - Gamepad F310 – Logitech Support + Download
