I have installed the executable, looks like its still using the xbox driver.

Im not sure where the program actually installed anything. Ill take a look where it actually did.

Remove the logitech software. Remove the xbox controller in device manager. Reboot. Then install the logitech software. (reboot if it requests). Then check if its still showing as an xbox controller.

    No luck so far.

I noticed the program was installed to Program Files\Logitech\Gaming Software\SDKs

The file there is LogitechSteeringWheel.dll (not sure about steering wheel?)

I tried pointing to that but it didnt accept it.

Otherwise its still showing as Xbox 360 Peripherals under device manager.

ok so i installed the 64bit installer which i should have done in the first place.

Still has the xbox driver though and the program that has installed has done something wonky to my device manager -

"Logitech Virtual Bus Enumerator" has an ! sign on it so not sure what happened there.

I can always uninstall this software but hasnt addressed the issue of the driver yet.

Not to sound snarky, but if its a logitech F310, you dont see where or why it can cause an issue using the xbox controller driver?

Logitech gaming software (for your F310) https://download01.logi.com/web/ftp/...ick/lgs510.exe from Downloads - Gamepad F310 – Logitech Support + Download
I understand that but if it really was an issue wouldnt it have been giving this error all the time?

This is admittedly a random issue but i havnt found any solution other than to disconnect the controller.

I know this thread is over a week old but has anyone perhaps had a look at the memory.dmp file i attached?

Ive disconnected my controller for now, i cant seem to get the proper drivers working as it still shows it as an "xbox controller" in device manager.

So i will leave it for now, otherwise if nothing else can be done i will close off this post.

    No problem mate.

I suspect the issue is the xusb22.sys file again that was the problem.

One of the posters last year mentioned that it was giving issues because the driver was having issues changing power states? (he explained it better)

    Hi there

Just wanted to ask if there were any updates? I know this is an old thread but as i said above my only solution is to just not use a gamepad.

Other than that i'm stumped as to what the actual issue is.

I did notice an odd occurrence which happened twice and both happened after i had updated my GPU drivers.

It only happened in the one game but it was AC Valhalla and on both occasions i had the "stuck on splash screen" issue. It took around 60-90 seconds but it eventually went in the game. (This is still with no controller connected)

When i exited i restarted my pc just to double check i didn't get the hung restart where it eventually gave me a BSOD and on both occasions it restarted fine.

I don't know how related this is to the main issue but that was an oddity that occurred.

Other than that my system appears stable. I just dont use a controller anymore which in itself is a minor annoyance but there we go.

So if there are any viable solutions i can try please let me know.

    Thank you.

    Good day

I know there have been many weeks following this post. Apologies for resurrecting a dead post i had to replace my GPU as it was giving errors hence the time that has passed.

I will mark this thread as "solved" as other than just disconnecting the gamepad i don't have any other solution.

Doing a bit of googling this seems to be a rare issue with xusb22.sys and driver power state failure errors. Reading those posts didn't really have any solutions other than disconnecting.

Another thing i always noticed is that with controllers connected i could never go into sleep mode - even a simple screen saver would never activate.

Also older versions of Windows never really had this issue. Win10 problem? Not sure.

Anyway thank you for the help - hopefully one day i can actually connect a controller without having this issue.
