BSOD When Waking From Sleep State (Event 1001 - Bugcheck: 0x0000009f)
Hello,
I'm using Windows 10 Home - Version: 21H1 Build: 19043.1348
I've been experiencing issues for the past ~2-3 weeks when waking my PC from a sleep state. When attempting to wake, I'll press a key on my keyboard and nothing will happen (blank screen and no sounds). When I press the power button, the computer goes through a full boot (indicating abrupt/unexpected shutdown). If I disable sleep, I do not experience the problem.
In event viewer, I've identified errors such as "Windows failed to resume from hibernate with error status 0xC0000001" and "The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck. The bugcheck was: 0x0000009f (0x0000000000000003, 0xffff8b8b0e940630, 0xfffff8035a26f750, 0xffff8b8b329c8a60). A dump was saved in: C:\WINDOWS\MEMORY.DMP. Report Id: b40b8123-66b9-42e3-ab27-6eabcbd314ed.
These errors coincide with the times at which my PC enters and attempts to come out of a sleep state. I have the latest Windows updates and have just updated all drivers from my motherboard's website as well as from Nvidia (RTX 3070) and Intel (WIFI/Bluetooth). I have the latest BIOS for my motherboard. Despite these updates, I experienced the BSOD mentioned above last night such that when I returned to my PC, which was supposed to be in a sleep state, it simply powered itself back on through a full boot upon pressing a key on my keyboard.
I ran a Windows memory test, sfc /scannow, and chkdsk with no issues.
Something else that has occurred, which may be worthy of mentioning, is that an aesthetic LED on my motherboard tends to remain on after shutting down my PC at night. I have to turn the PC back on and off for it to disable itself. I do not recall this occurring prior to the issues I've been having with entering/waking from sleep.
Finally, I want to mention that I never actually see the BSOD's or experience them while actively using the PC. It only happens while I am away and the computer enters or exits sleep state -- possibly in between those times, too.
These are my logs from Log Collector V2 taken last night: Microsoft OneDrive - Access files anywhere. Create docs with free Office Online.
The most recent BSOD should be 12/02/21 at 10:18:47 PM. It is the bugcheck I listed above. There was a MEMORY.DMP associated with it which I have uploaded here: Microsoft OneDrive - Access files anywhere. Create docs with free Office Online.
Please let me know what you think and if more info is needed.
