    WHEA Uncorrectable Error

Hello, I’ve recently been experiencing numerous BSOD’s, all with the same error code WHEA_CORRECTABLE_ERROR. After each crash there is no mini dump file created and no progress gets made in making a mini dump file while sitting on the BSOD.

Some of the things I’ve tried:

    1. Update Drivers

    2. Update BIOS (reset everything to default, XMP and Fastboot disabled)

    3. Ran sfc /scan now (some files were repaired)

    4. Update Chipset Drivers

    5. Ran memtest (no issues)

I’ve checked the event viewer after a BSOD and noticed the following errors:

    1. Error - EventLog - Event ID 6008 - Shutdown was expected

    2. Error - volmgr - Event ID 161 - Dump file created failed

    3. Critical - Kernal-Power - Event ID 41 - System reboot

I’ve recently replaced the CPU and PSU because of this error (i.e I had this issue for awhile, replaced PSU and CPU and error is still present) and made sure the RAM was fully seated. The CPU and GPU share a custom water loop and I’ve monitored the temps with HWinfo. Neither component exceeds 75C during use.

    Computer Specs:

    CPU: Ryzen 9 5900X

    GPU: PNY RTX 3090

RAM: CORSAIR Vengeance RGB Pro 16GB

    PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA 1000 G5

Motherboard: Gigabyte Aorus Elite WiFi (BIOS - F36e)

    SSD’s: Samsung - 980 PRO 1TB (Boot Drive)

    GIGABYTE AORUS Gen4 M.2 2280 1TB (secondary)

    Windows Version: 21H1

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I suggest you start by UNINSTALLING Bitdefender both the security app and the Firewall
Use Windows Security Centre Defender and the windows firewall

    Follow the procedure here
    https://www.bitdefender.com/consumer...t/answer/2791/

If I am wrong you can of course reinstall it.

I have uninstalled BitDefender and am currently using the Windows security and Firewall.

I will provide an update if the same BSOD returns.

We are limited without the dump file, but we can fix that lack of dump if necessary

BitDefender as with many third party AV apps and Firewalls, seems to cause a few problems on 10, especially after version updates of 10.

IMHO 10 and now it seems especially 11 from what I see are subject to so many complicated changes from version updates etc, that many 3rd party system apps - struggle to keep pace.

Whether that was the cause on your system remains to be seen

How are we doing, please. I know you said you would

but an update if it has NOT BSOD`d again would be helpful.

    Sorry for the slow response.

This issue will sometimes disappear for a few days and then come back. However, for the past 24 hours I have not experienced any issues.

So same BSOD (WHEA_UNCORRECTABLE_ERROR) came back just now. My computer had been running for roughly 2 hours tonight and when the crash happened I was watching YouTube and downloading a game through Steam.

BitDefender has been uninstalled the entire time and I did not experience any BSOD yesterday, while playing games most of the day.

There is a possibility that you now have a dump
please re-run the V2 and attach
