"kmode exception not handled" BSOD on fresh Win10 install?

Hi all- still working on the Gateway I mentioned recently, but now hitting a new snag!

The computer seems to work fine, but every few minutes, it randomly restarts with a "kmode exception not handled" BSOD I have already run MemTest many passes, found the RAM was bad as MemTest threw errors...so I replaced the RAM.

But, the same BSOD persists at random, usually every somewhere around 5-10 minutes after boot.

Some research suggests turning off Fast Startup, so I just did that and will see if that will make any difference, but is there anything else I should try?

Again, this was a fresh install of Win7 that was immediately upgraded to the latest version of Win10. I had also gone into the Update Manager and installed any optional driver updates as well.

    The MEMORY.DMP is here:

@mods - Thanks for moving the thread to the correct place, I realized after I posted it that there was a subforum for BSODs, but couldn't move it here!

It appears that the system crashed due to a divide by zero exception, this is likely related to drivers in my opinion. There appears to have been a number of network-related calls at the time of the crash, so it's possibly due to a driver somewhere in your network stack. The network driver seems to be a possible problem.

    Code:
    1: kd> lmvm RTL8192su
    Browse full module list
    start end module name

Hmm, the only issue I foresee, is that your system was only ever intended for Windows 7 and the OEM hasn't provided support for drivers beyond that.

I downloaded the auto update software from Intel and ran it and it said that there were no newer drivers available for the video.

I can try the BIOS update though.

I was connecting with a wireless dongle until I got the internal Wi-Fi working, so I'm not sure which was set up at the time that the logs are showing. It's currently running off of the internal Wi-Fi though.

I am also sure that it is a driver issue, as when I booted the machine into safe mode I let it sit there for a long time and it worked fine. I can try to see if I have a different Wi-Fi card that would fit it.

It has crashed many times now, often one just sitting idle at the desktop was absolutely nothing else running. It's always the 'k-mode exception error'.

It's more than likely to be a driver issue, particularly that network driver. Please keep the dongle disconnected (if it isn't already) and let's wait to see if the system crashes again.

I've been not using the dongle for days, and it's been doing the same thing. I'll see if I can find any later drivers for the card it has!

If you're not using that dongle anymore then it probably be best to uninstall the driver. I assume it has been set to load at boot hence why the system crashes shortly afterwards.

I've uninstalled the driver for the external USB WiFi dongle and have been using the built-in Realtek 8191SU card. The funny thing is, the external dongle is the SAME chipset and I have used that dongle successfully on MANY other Win10 computers before with no issue, so not sure why a built-in version of the card would have this BSOD issue.

I couldn't find any newer WiFi driver than the one I already had, so I backdated it to an older version I found, but it still crashed with the same 'kmode exception' error.

My worry is that the machine crashes at random....sometimes it's 20 minutes, sometimes it's 2 minutes.

I tried to install the BIOS update in safe mode but it just gives a 'driver not loaded' error, so I can't get the BIOS update to install there. Safe mode doesn't crash (presumably because the drivers that are causing the crash aren't loaded), which is why I wanted to try it there.

I'm leery of trying to install the BIOS update in a normal Windows bootup because if the machine crashes in the middle of the update, then I've just bricked my computer :/

Could you please provide the latest dump files?

Were the previous Windows 10 machines newer than your current one?

Well, it doesn't matter now....as per suggestions, I tried to update the BIOS with the latest bios for this machine from gateway's website as there was a newer one on the site than the one that was installed on my machine.... I used the windows bios flash tool and watched it go and it seemed to erase, copy, and verify correctly, but now on restart it freezes at the boot logo and doesn't go anywhere, so I feel like the BIOS update bricked it...very frustrated.....

I should have just put Linux on it and left Windows alone, but it's too late now... I tried resetting the BIOS with the CMOS jumper on the motherboard and it does the same thing, so pretty sure it's screwed...

I've looked and looked and I can't seem to find anything about there being a bios recovery mode for this particular machine, so if any of you managed to find something I would be very grateful. It is a gateway zx6961 all in one. Acer owns gateway, so I've searched for Acer BIOS recovery as well but can't seem to find anything. :/
