The system has rebooted without cleanly shutting down first.
Hi all. So for the last few months, I've been bugged with 2 weird issues:
Video_TDR_Failuer (116) and Kernal 41 power issues. Both crashes do the same thing, restart my pc
It started here: VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (116) - PC locks up or restarts
After the above post I did a few weeks ago, I decided to do a clean install of windows.
Before I did anything, I completely updated all my drivers to rule that out. I also decided to update my bios. I realised that my BIOS version was a beta, and was taken down, so fully updated my bios to the latest, stable version.
Everything has been great, up until today.
So as I usually do, sometimes I just leave my PC running, and when I come back to it, the screens are black, so I'll hit enter on my keyboard, and it usually wakes up, but today, it took a few seconds longer than normal, then I see that my whole PC restarts.Initial thoughts...great.
I load up event viewer to see that I have the Kernal issue again. As I start googling it, my computer restarts again. Same error. Once more, I open event viewer, same issue, head over to google and this time, my pc just locks up completely, stuck on desktop.
So I did a hard reset and walked away, but as it was playing on my mind, here I am.
Now, so far so good, it's been on, without a problem for 30minutes or so, so maybe it just needed a hard reset, but I'm here asking, anyway.
So what have I done.
Well, since a fresh install a few weeks ago, I've not overclocked the CPU or GPU. I have auto overclocked the memory.
So right away, after the install, once all drivers were up to date, I ran memtest, and it passed on all 4 tests, so I am happy it's not a memory issue.
I ran some strenuous tests on the PSU, CPU and GPU, and everything seemed fine.
The only thing that as of today I haven't done, is install the latest GPU drivers and one windows update, which is:
2021-11 Cumulative Update Preview for .NET Framework 3.5 and 4.8 for Windows 10 Version 21H1 for x64 (KB5007289)
Both of which, I will update before turning my pc off.
I've done the V2 log, so hopefully that may show something up.
The only thing I did today, was install L-Connect. A Lian Li piece of software for their fans. It could be to do with that, I guess, but I did plenty of googling, which came up with nothing.
So, any help you can offer, or any suggestions, I will be thankful
Also, my current windows version is: 2181 build 19043.1348
