    BSOD during clean install

Hey, new here. I was having an bunch of BSOD issues and they would keep occurring every five seconds so after doing the recommended fixes they stopped occurring as often, however since they kept occurring I decided to do a clean install of windows.

I used another pc to download MCT onto a usb and plugged it into my BSOD pc and booted through UFEI through the bios, I then went through the installation and that all went fine.

Then as it got to the getting ready screen I received a System Service Exception BSOD and it now says windows installation cannot proceed. I have no idea why I would get a BSOD even after during a fresh install of windows.

    Please help me.

Hello and welcome to tenforums ,

You could try booting from the install media and see if the repair option works.

Otherwise, try doing the clean install again and see if it works the second time. If this is a desktop, unplug all drives except the boot drive.

Hey, thank you for the welcome and thanks for the heads up about the specs, I have filled in the information on my profile. Also I tried installing again but ran into the same issue.

Also I do not know how to make it so that the boot drive is the only thing connected so I am not sure how to do your last recommendation. Thank you for the help

I see you have multiple drives. Which one do you want to install Windows on? Unplug the other ones.

    Hi and Welcome to Tenforums.

If you have OC profiles loaded, try to put them down for the install.

When I see liquid cooling it nearly always mean Overclocking is involved

I would suggest trying to install to the 500 GB SSD with the hybrid drive disconnected, if that is an option for you - but only you can best determine that if you have files on your drives.

If you have another PC, install Backup and Restore with Macrium Reflect and make a MR Rescue USB so you can boot from it and make a backup image of the 500 GB SSD before you try installing to it. You can save the image to the hybrid drive if you don't have an external USB drive to save it to.

I would run Memtest86+ for 8 passes to make sure your RAM is good. You will need another PC to download and create the bootable USB.

I would also suggest making the Windows Install USB again in case it's corrupted.
