    Random BSOD, help please!

    Hey all

I stumbled upon this forum when I was trying to troubleshoot my BSOD woes.
I've read quite a few of these threads before signing up to an account and have tried almost everything to wit's end.
The BSODs have been happening with increasing regularity. Previously was every few days, last few days have been daily, and generally happens when waking computer from a deep sleep although happens whilst I'm midway doing work too. It's been exceedingly frustrating.

I've been getting different error codes everytime:
    SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION USBXHCI.SYS
    APC_INDEX_MISMATCH ntoskrnl.exe
    KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED ntoskrnl.exe
    SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION ntoskrnl.exe
    SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION Ndu.sys

Also had a few related to the Citrix Receiver (required for work, unfortunately)

    Please help.

    What I've done to date:
Updated using windows update, manually updated video drivers using NVIDIA
    Ran chkdsk /r
    Turned off fast boot
    Turned off overclocking CPU/GPU
Removed unnecessary PCI-e cards (Wifi, Sound Card)
I've ran memtest 86 for 4 passes, twice without error
Driver Verifier - seems to crash with SamsungRapidFSFiltr.sys before windows even loads. Had another Samsung related error but it restarted before I was able to take a photo of it. I had to restore the checkpoint to get my computer to boot... I've got two Samsung SSDs, are these the cause of my BSODs?

    Attachment 346911
    Windows 10, Version 21H1 OS build 17043.1237
    4770k, 780, Asus 87A,

Is it time I say goodbye to my trusty old computer and invest in a new one? Really didn't want to do that... Or is it time for a good old reformat? I don't have the time to do that at the moment though
Really appreciate any help given that I'm at my wit's end and I really, really need my PC working.

What settings did you enable Driver Verifier with?

    Hey MrPepka

I followed the guide here: https://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/...3-c48669e4c983

Custom settings, unchecked DDI compliance checking and randomized low resource simulation, then selected everything non-Microsoft.

What settings do you have for the onboard video in the bios?
Theres one bios newer, doesnt mention much besides system stabilty, but possibly? Can be found here
One of the dumps calls out something usb, do you have the current drivers? can be found here

    From services.txt:
    XLServicePlatform 迅雷下载基础服务(用于快速申请磁盘空间及接管浏览器下载请求)
What is that? I only speak some german and tiny tiny bit of japanese.

    Hi tomdsr

    Thanks for your reply!

Re: onboard video, fairly sure it's the default settings, never touched it. I'll update this post with a photo in a short while when I restart my computer (it's been going good, no BSOD for 48 hours and counting...)
I think I'm already on version 2103, or does it also correlate to the date?
Lastly, for the chipset INF utility, I get "this platform is not supported". Not really sure how to update the chipset on an old Z87a.

Also, I ran HDTunePro (trial) on all my disks, no errors...
    Attachment 347063Attachment 347064Attachment 347065Attachment 347066Attachment 347067

That service was when I used to watch Chinese videos/movies. I'll uninstall it, I haven't used it in years.

Try with a brand new PSU.

    Hey thanks for the reply.
What leads you to think that? Happy to replace any hardware that has a high suspicion of being faulty (already ordered new 2tb SSD) but do you mind me asking why you think the PSU is broken?
Will definitely replace it if you think I really need it.

The PSU, possibly has bad caps in it. You're more likely to find bad caps in PSUs than on motherboards, these days.
