Computer restarting unexpectedly. Possible BSOD.

Hello. My computer that houses all my servers seems to be restarting on its own every couple days. Event logs show an unexpected shutdown. I cannot tell if this is a BSOD or something else. I have automatic Windows updates forcefully disabled so that Windows updates wouldn't auto reboot and I perform those manually. I check this computer remotely once or twice a week or when I notice my servers are down so it is hard for me to watch this computer all the time. I have attached the log collector. I have not witnessed an actual BSOD and there seems to be no BSOD dumps. The computer is connected to a battery backup. Thank you for looking into this.

Can you explain why it is not considered a BSOD? Was there something in the logs that you saw that identifies the problem as something else?

well, there is no dmp files, the error report files dont show much besides it was restarted

Computer's that have BSOD may display error messages indicating that they failed to create dump files.

This computer had reported failure to create the dump files.

One option is to troubleshoot the failure by running this script:

Tuneup_plus_log.bat ─ Click here to go to the BSOD batch repository to download and run this batch file.

The prompt to restart was likely related to: chkdsk /scan
It can find problems with the drive file system that can be fixed offline with chkdsk /spotfix.


Search for:
C:\Users\%Username%\AppData\Local\Temp\Tuneup.log
C:\Users\%Username%\AppData\Local\Temp\T.txt

(change %Username% to the applicable user name as needed)

Post share links using one drive, drop box, or google drive.


The best option is to run this command overnight: chkdsk /r /v

The command can be run from:
a) administrative command prompt
b) command prompt at boot
c) safe mode
d) windows recovery environment (RE)
etc.

Please see tuneup.log as requested. I also performed chkdsk /r /v and rebooted. My computer still did reboot again unexpectedly last night at around 3:30am CST without warning. Please let me know the next steps you would like me to take.
