    KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED ntoskrnl.exe (Win10 21H1)

    Hi,
I saw this BSOD in multiple threads already but I'm unable to fix it in my case.
    Old rig with i5-2500K, AsRock P67 Pro3, 8GB, GTX 970
It started to happen today, after I updated Windows 7 to Windows 10 latest version 21H1.
But this operation basically broke the machine as it's getting BSOD at random invervals from instantly after login screen (or during really) to max 5 minutes after (didn't count by it was not much). I managed to generate the attached logs and it crashed.
I had issues during the update, but after another try (and uninstalling Nvidia drivers) it went to the end (with one BSOD during).
It's working fine in safe mode.
There is a new BIOS for my board, but I'm afraid to try to install it since it might just crash in the middle and that might cause more problems...

My assumption is that it's a driver, but which one? Tried to uninstall some of them, reinstalled and updated GPU driver but that didn't solve the problem. Intel tool helping with updates says that there are no new drivers for me.

PS. If you are wondering why I upgraded now. Then Diablo 2 Ressurected forced me to do it!

    Hi Jasak,

I strongly recommend installing all drivers from Asrock on the support page for Windows 10 64bits.
    ASRock > P67 Pro3

One driver that I saw in your dumps, a Realtek driver, is over 11 years old and is unlikely to be compatible.
    Code:
    1: kd> lmvm RTKVHD64
    Browse full module list
    start end module name
    fffff800`19a20000 fffff800`19c73700 RTKVHD64 T (no symbols)
        Loaded symbol image file: RTKVHD64.sys
        Image path: \SystemRoot\system32\drivers\RTKVHD64.sys
        Image name: RTKVHD64.sys
Browse all global symbols functions data

    Thanks axe0,
Updated two intel and two realtek drivers, and BSOD happened after around 15 minutes. Another just after login screen.
Tried to update windows during that time, it found some Intel drivers.

    Two new dumps attached.
Also something is not right with the speed/usage/threads/processes and handles displayed for CPU in task manager.
Also during that 15 minutes I felt a lot of micro-freezes. Nothing was happening really during that time.

Most likely fixed by upgrading BIOS to beta version 3.40 from official asrock page.
It's done in BIOS by instant flash utility so no worries about BSOD during the flashing under windows.
I also found out that this is a common issue for P67 motherboards, and clean install would not help here. This BSOD started to happen after 1909 Win10 version, on 1909 was working fine for other people.

Running now for 55 minutes without a crash. I will mark it as solved after some more tests.

(new BIOS also fixes this insane task manager readings)

Let's hope this beta version doesn't have problems.
