    Hi Axe0,
SO I have run 4 passes on each stick in Slot 1 with not one error.

I'm going to do that all again so there will be 8 passes per stick.

After that if no errors I guess i try a working passed stick and do 8 passes slot 2, 3, 4 and check if those slots are the issues?

I was getting BSOD with just 1 & 3 slots so maybe i should try stick passes in slot 3 first?

Just for information, RAM must be able to function under different circumstances, e.g. under a longer period of load, the test should be run twice consecutively for 8 passes. What I mean is that running 4 passes on one stick, 4 passes on another and then 4 passes again on the first is not recommended, 4 passes and again 4 passes on the same stick is recommended.

I would definitely test the RAM in those slots yes, if errors occur in either it's likely the slots are causing problems.

    Hi Axe0 and others,
Trying my best here and getting nowhere

    Done the RAM tests.
Did 2 runs (about 8 hours) on each stick in slot 1.
THen i took one of the tested sticks and did 8 hours in slot 2,3,4
    No errors.

I then ran driver verifier for 48 hours with no bsod.
Over the last 3 weeks i must have had... 12-15 BSODs...!!
A few occured during gaming, a few overnight while i slept.

I did also experience waking in morning to comp "on" but no signal to monitors and my keyboard wasnt lit so I'm assuming the driver wasnt loaded. (I Guess that means a failed reboot???)

I haven't had any actual failed boots or fail on boot, just the BSODs.

I'm stunned that verifier didnt crash once in 2 different 48 hour periods but a day after its off, it crashes again!!!

Please help me, I'm a total nerd and this is insane that I can't get to the cause of this.
Do I just reinstall windows to make sure its nothing like that causig the issue?

sfc /scannow has been run a few times over the last 3 weeks.

of the... 4 times, 3 found nothing, one found something and fixed it.

Attached isnt ANOTHER v2 log, but I'm guessing still no direct cause obvious?

    What do I do next?

    The computer has mismatched RAM.

Neither module was seen on the QVL.

Memtest86 is designed to test for malfunctioning RAM.

It is not designed to test for incompatible RAM.

Please test the computer stability / instability using RAM on the Qualified Vendor List.

    Thanks mate,
I have no idea how I did that.
And franly I don't know how I ended up with 2 different RAM types. Must have not had my coffee that day.

The only thing that is curious is that this setup ran for 2.5 years with not one BSOD using this RAM... and now its having them. Do you think it would be down to the QVL in this case?

It's best to swap test to rule in / rule out hardware problems.

If the computer becomes stable with QVL RAM then you've identified the problem.

If the computer remains unstable with QVL RAM then swap test the CPU or motherboard.

Thanks mate, completely understand. Just a pity to have 4 sticks of good ram and have to buy more and then sell these!!

I'll get some and do testing.
DO you think having the c16 and c18 running together could be the issue?
Wroth running for a week using matching RAM first?

See if you can find a friend, neighbor, relative, or local computer to swap test hardware.

Some vendors may allow returns with or without stocking fees.

Others may allow returns for compatibility issues.

Look at multiple vendors to find a workable method to rule in /rule out hardware problems.

    Thanks again for the responses.
I havent had chance to get the other RAM yet. I completely understand that it is an important step and will do so when i get the chance in the near future.

In the mean time I uninstalled Corsair iCUE.
I read many reports on BSODs with this software with similar names (IRQ not less or equal) etc etc.

I also went and got the latest bios. (62 i think).
Weirdly I was on 62B but this was actually a 2020 or something bios.
I "upgraded" from the gigabyte page to 62 (yes.. i was on 62B...) and this is a 2022 bios update.

Since then I've had one BSOD in 4 days I think, where as before I was having 1-2 a day.

Attached is teh most recent BSOD just "in case" anyone can see anything pointing anywhere else.
