    winload.exe missing error 0xc000000f

So out of no where, I've gotten the BSOD.

It seems to be related to a missing winload.exe file and giving me the error 0xc000000f

I've tried a system restore from a different store points a couple of times, but it doesn't seem to fix anything.

I also tried fixing windows with the USB drive, but it didn't seem to help.

I do have work on my desktop Im hoping not to lose, so I'm here looking for help on how to fix this without losing everything.

I wasn't sure what windows version number I had. I do know I had Pro.

Is there a way to install this file to save everything?

What would have caused this file to just disappear like that and crash and brick my system?

    Thanks!

It shows up on a blue background, but that's not a bugcheck, TMK. (a stop error)
Instead, it's because the boot loader can't find the Windows loader. It's more confusing with 10, than with Vista, because apparently, unlike Vista, boot loader errors now have a blue background!

Ok, any idea what I can do to try and fix it?

I should also note, there seems to be two options for an Available Windows OS

    Volume 1
    Volume 0 (or 2) I can’t remember

I’ve been trying kn Volume 1 this whole time, perhaps I should try the other?

Any idea why there would be two?

I have a screenshot but apparently can’t seem to post it here on the mobile website, so here’s an Imgur:

Does the system boot at all? Can you boot to Safe Mode? If yes to either then you can turn off automatic restart so you can read information when you get a BSOD screen:

    Right click on This PC.
Click Properties > Advanced System Settings
Under Startup and Recovery click on Settings.
Under System failure, uncheck Automatically restart.

Check for C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP (full memory dump). If it's there, copy to another location then zip it an upload to a file sharing site like OneDrive or Google Drive and post a link to it here along with the zip file so it can be downloaded and looked at, as it may have additional useful data that the mini dumps do not have. With Windows 10 you have at least 5GB of free could storage available there.

Need to do this ASAP, before the system deletes them which it does regularly for some stupid reason, even when space is not short.

No I can't even boot to safe mode, it immediately goes to BSOD after my bios loads.

Is there anything I can still do?

Do you have a Windows 10 install USB flash drive or rapier USB flash drive? If so you could boot that to zip the dumps and upload then as I described.

You must have another computer since you can post here so if you don't have either of the above I suggest downloading Win10XPE - Build Your Own Rescue Media - Windows 10 Forums
It will create a bootable USB flash drive which is Windows 10 based and easy to use. You can zip the dump files from it and upload to a file sharing site as I mentioned above. You can also attempt repairs from it. It'a a must have tool for Windows 10 repair.

I do have a Windows 10 USB for installs that I've been trying to repair with, is that a different version you're suggesting?

I don't know what you mean to "zip the dumps"?

I've tried the repair tool on Volume 1, but it didn't work.

I just need a bit more clarity to get started.

I have my iphone and a chromebook that I can still access the internet with. I do have a USB port on chromebook, but they are always limiting with what you can do with them. I can get to a real computer at some point if needed.
    Thanks!

With the Windows 10 USB it's harder to zip the dump file then upload them to a file sharing site. If you can follow the instructions at the site I gave you and create the WIN10XP@ flash drive then you effectively have a bootable Windows 10 rescue/repair environment where it would be very easy to zip the dump files for upload to a file sharing site.

I told you where to find the dump files. If they are there I can provide explicit instructions on how to zip them from WIN10XPE.

Ok so I finally have created this bootable USB drive and not sure what to do next.

How do I actually make it boot and zip dump files?

I'm not familiar that that process at all, so not sure what to do in order to get them using this USB drive.

    Thank you!

Before doing anything, create a work folder on the flash drive to hold the dump files, call it anything you want, Work, Temp, Dumps, etc.

    1. Insert the flash drive.
    2. Boot
    3. Press the Fn key that opens the One time boot menu. Your manual says the folllowing:

    Chapter 4 UEFI SETUP UTILITY

    4.1 Introduction
This section explains how to use the UEFI SETUP UTILITY to configure your
system. You may run the UEFI SETUP UTILITY by pressing <F2> or <Del> right
after you power on the computer, otherwise, the Power-On-Self-Test (POST) will
continue with its test routines. If you wish to enter the UEFI SETUP UTILITY after
POST, restart the system by pressing <Ctl> + <Alt> + <Delete>, or by pressing the
reset button on the system chassis. You may also restart by turning the system off
    and then back on.

    4. Select the flash drive as the boot source and press Enter.

    5. At the first windows, press Shift+F10. This will open a Command Prompt window.

    6. Copy dmp file to the work folder on the flash drive then compress them with the compact command:

copy C:\Windows\Minidump\*.dmp x:\work (pretty sure x: will be the4 drive letter assigned to flash drive)
    compact /C x:\work\*.dmp

That should do it, the compressed .dmp files should now be in the work folder on the flash drive. Upload to a file sharing site and post a link to them here.
