Various Bsod when using Adobe Premiere

    Hey everybody !

So I'm pretty new in this website, but after spending 10+ hours yesterday on this problem, I thought I might ask for your help !

As the Title is stating, I recieved alot of Bsod recently, only when using the Adobe Premiere program. The error logs varies from PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONPAGED_AREA to PFN_LIST_CORRUPT or MEMORY_MANAGEMENT.

I've already tried to reset audio and video drivers, and installing older versions to make sure it wasn't the problem. I ran a /chkdsk on all the disks of the computer, Uninstalled and reinstalled everything. I'm pretty sure there's a faulty driver somewhere, or the CPU is overheating, but I can't find the solution of my problem.

I added in this thread the logs of the crashes, using this site's tool, hoping it'll give you some information !

I also have the logs of the program WhoCrashed. I'll copy here the results for the 3 previous crashes:

On Wed 2021-06-09 10:59:32 your computer crashed or a problem was reported
    crash dump file: C:\Windows\MEMORY.DMP
This was probably caused by the following module: win32kbase.sys (win32kbase!GetKeyboardLayout+0x7F)
    Bugcheck code: 0x50 (0xFFFF9E0E9A16C980, 0x0, 0xFFFFF80318EE1B60, 0x2)

Bug check description: This indicates that invalid system memory has been referenced.
This appears to be a typical software driver bug and is not likely to be caused by a hardware problem.
The crash took place in a Microsoft module. Your system configuration may be incorrect. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver on your system that cannot be identified at this time.

On Wed 2021-06-09 01:46:10 your computer crashed or a problem was reported

Bug check description: This indicates that the page frame number (PFN) list is corrupted.
This bug check belongs to the crash dump test that you have performed with WhoCrashed or other software. It means that a crash dump file was properly written out.
The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver that cannot be identified at this time.

All the dumps are memory related. According to the RAM report you have mixed memory 4x4GB, 2 different manufacturers.

    Please test your memory:

    ===================================================
Up through DDR3, follow this tutorial: MemTest86+ - Test RAM - Windows 10 Forums
DDR4, follow this tutorial: MemTest86 v8.1 Free Memory Testing Tool Review

Both of these are diagnostic tools designed to test Random Access Memory (RAM) for faults. They will verify that:
    • RAM will accept and keep random patterns of data sent to it
    • There are no errors when different parts of memory try to interact
    • There are no conflicts between memory addresses

They run from bootable media to isolate the RAM from the system, no other components are taken into account during the test.

    warning   Warning
MemTest86+ and Memtest86 need to run for at least 8 passes to be anywhere near conclusive, anything less will not give a complete analysis of the RAM. The new version of Memtest86 only allows 4 passes for the free version so run it twice, back to back.

If you are asked to run MemTest86+ or Memtest86 by a Ten Forums member make sure you run the full 8 (or 4+4) passes for conclusive results. If you run less than 8 passes you will be asked to run it again.

    Note   Note
Both of these diagnostics has been known to discover errors in RAM in later passes than the eighth pass. This is for information only; if you feel there is a definite problem with the RAM and 8 passes have shown no errors feel free to continue for longer.

Running 8 passes of MemTest86+ or 4+4 passes of Memtest86 is a long and drawn out exercise and the more RAM you have the longer it will take. It's recommended to run it overnight, starting just before you go to bed and leave it overnight.

Take a picture when done and post in the forum please.

    Hey guys,

So the MemTest is finished, it did 10 passes without finding any error messages. I guess it might mean my RAM's alright ! What do you think ? My guess is that maybe the CPU's overheating, since the BSOD occurs only when I'm working Adobe Premiere, on largers projects ! But I have no clue what to do next !

Are you using hard drive? Maybe your hard drive is defective, go to link: SeaTools (Windows) |
    Seagate

After Installation, click on SeaTools for Windows on desktop screen, then click on yes if UAC prompts, then click on I Accept, then tick your hard drive, then click on Basic Tests, then click on Short Drive Self Test

Thanks @f23948 ! Although I tried editing on other computers and everything went fine. My idea is that the exertnal drive would not be a problem in this case.

My next try will be simply to install an earliest version of Premiere, since it's only crashing when I use it. But I suspect this isn't a problem with the software itself... I'll keep you informed on both the hard drive and software tests !

    Have you run SeaTools yet?
