    Hard restart problem...

I have small space in my room and I accidentally hit my computer with a leg... I hit the side of the front panel, which isn't smooth and it is sticking out to the sides a little bit beyond side panel of the case. As you can see...

There is not much space so it was a small step, but it was in middle of the step and I didn't expect to hit something! My foot hit against that frame around holes, so it was destructive force, rather than simple flick... It was like medium kick.

After that my computer did restart and I noticed memory dump in Event Viewer. I will do some tests, just hope it is fine!!! As I hit frame on the front panel and it is robust case, still it is kinda scary, that it did reset.

Could you tell me what this BSOD means?

    Thanks!

A very likely one would be "VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE", because the video card got loose, thus it disappeared from Windows.

For 0x0000000a? Usually that's an unsuccessful manual CPU core OC. Looks like you need to check the socket and reseat the CPU.

The BSOD happened Thu Jun 3 13:25:33.445 2021 (UTC + 1:00) Was this the time of the kick? If it wasn't then it is probably unrelated.
The crash happened because of a page fault due to an invalid address. If this continues to happen we can investigate but as your system disk is an SSD there are no moving parts to be affected by a kick.

I do notice that your RAM is overclocked for the CPU you are using. The recommended RAM is DDR4 at 2666MHz. You are using RAM at 3200MHz which could easily explain the BSOD.

Do you think I need to do that? I ran since 3D Mark test successfully with optimal score and Prime95 for half an hour. And no problems since yesterday! I thought if GPU for instance lost contacts while running, it would damage itself. BTW I use vertical mount for GPU, but it seems fine. Also if it both components wouldn't be properly seated, wouldn't some issues manifest by now?

Yes it was exactly after the kick, I noticed PC restarted and I saw fresh error in Event Viewer, which happened in a window of a last hour. Besides I didn't have any BSODs, or critical problems long time! Only BSOD I had on this computer was because dying disk once...

That surprises me, I have no idea why that can be! Are there any other causes for this error?

I did chkdsk /b /v for my system disk - NVME XPG 8200 Pro. But results didn't show in Event Viewer. I created another thread for that: Can't find chkdsk results

I could try seal tools, but I Am not sure, if that is for SSDs too, gonna check...

Also I Am planning to run Memtest overnight.

That won't be the reason, 2666 is just standard spec for maximum speed CPU can take advantage of, for CPUs from Intel. XMP is Intel's technology and their paradoxically don't accept warranty, if you use XMP profile and tell them. But RAMs are perfectly capable running at any speed, only limited by a motherboard. My RAM are on QVL list and they are running fine since like an year, no problems! Because otherwise no one could use RAM above 2666 with Intel CPUs... BTW I did memtest in past, it showed no errors.

I forgot to say this: Check the EPS plug. That possibly wiggled! That powers the CPU.

Yeah I did reconnect that afterwards, since I unplugged the whole case. My front panel is now stuck, can't take it off, or mount it back. I kicked it to be fair, but still. Who makes case like this, if one part comes first, it is impossible to mount and dismount...

BTW I checked chkdsk results of the system disk, it found no problems!
